Political 'spinning' and media management are nothing out of the ordinary. What is sinister here, however, is how effectively one of the parties is managing a major private broadcaster and seemingly buying off journalists with gifts. One needs only to think what kind of conversations are happening offline to really see the full extent of this rotten power elite in Pakistan.

We make the mistake of just looking at the Sharif or Bhutto dynasties in this country at the expense of turning a blind eye to the other deep interests, such as Geo (or dare I say it Malik Riaz), which are the real muscle behind the two political dynasties.

I don't think mariyam can become Nawaz sharif in politics while Shahbaz sharif is better administrator. Mariyam need charisma like leader if she want to lead nation. She should come forward & reject openly extremism, & sectarianism from country. Bring reforms, bring secular policies and stay away from personal business.
