No, BRITISH OWNED pakistan and bangladesh and India, so they gave away those land to muslims after muslims demanded a separate land called the "land of the pure" , one that was not made "impure" by the presence of Hindus. This demand by muslims was also backed by incredible Violence against the Hindus (100 times worse than CAA protest) to force CONgress to agree to these demands since a CONgress veto would have resulted in a stalemate.

So in the end it was the CONgress agreement to dividing India along religious lines that gave way to the partition of India.
