Hello guys,
Being a military enthusiast and a filmmaker, I've been working on a personal side project for Pakistan Army for quite some time using Real Virtuality 4 (Arma 3) game engine.
There are members in this forum who are familiar with Arma 3 and have already developed exciting modifications for the platform. My objective is towards the cinematic side, meant for entertainment purposes only. This will primarily begin as a pilot project on a smaller scale and then I may expand it from there.
The idea is to have short animated web series based on combat operations. I will try my best to bring as much realism as possible within the limitations of the game engine and my own time constraints.
Cutting it short, I joined this forum for the following reasons:
- Huge community of like-minded people.
- Excellent platform to share such content.
The first episode of the series is about two SSG snipers sent deep into enemy lines and that is the only information I can provide for now as I still to validate certain stuff in the story. The outline of the story is set and it may expand to a couple of episodes.
I've been asking around the forum for people who could help in getting certain facts correct. I would really appreciate the following support:
- Consultants for Pakistan army/SSG communication and tactics. I do have an idea as I've worked with few in some real life projects but it would be easier to nail down the script/story If I can consult somebody here, if possible in private otherwise the story would be public and then there's no use of the film. Emails would work as well.
- Stories from you guys. This could be an on-going thing if all goes well. You guys can share infamous Pakistan Army/SSG operations and I will try to bring those into films.
- Voice actors perhaps. If some of you guys would be interested, you can voice some of the characters. Don't need any high end recording system, a simple phone recorded voice could work as most of them will go in as radio chatter.
Now in case you're thinking why am I doing this? This is simply because I love our army especially the special forces and I enjoying making films.
For now, I'll leave some screenshots for you guys.
