The New Delhi Police has released pictures of a monkey which it claims has been trained by the Pakistani intelligence agency, the ISI, to undertake missions which are difficult for human agents.
New Delhi Police Chief, H.K. Ganpat Rai congratulated the police on this occasion. According to police sources, the monkey Raju (name changed for security reasons) was trained for two years in a specialized training centre in the Pakistani city of Gujjar Khan before being sent accross the Line of Control.
In the last couple of years, a number of monkeys started to break into various offices of the Indian Government. Last year, a gang of monkeys were responsible for stealing classified files from the office of the Prime Minister.
Earlier this year, the Deputy Mayor of Delhi was killed by a gang of monkeys. Police authorities said that they had thought the attacks were due to the monkeys going wild, but the arrest of Raju has given a whole new dimension to the cases. Authorities believe that Raju the monkey will provide them with critical leads to arrest the other members of his monkey gang.
Meanwhile the Indian Armed forces have been put on high alert to attack Pakistani monkey training camps.

The BSF and the Army posted along the Indo-Pakistan border here have been put on alert as dozens of monkeys said to be trained by the ISI have entered the Indian side of the border. A few of them were also seen on the outskirts of the city.
Local people say they have not seen monkeys here since Independence. The monkeys have not only caused havoc in the irrigated fields but are also a threat to the security system.
Army officials have not commented on the entry of monkeys yet. They are still on the hunt for the monkeys. The BSF authorities, who are keeping a 24-hour vigil on the border, have denied the report.
