Modi is the first prime minister to publicly back the view that holy texts show many discoveries of modern science were made by ancient Indians. He told an audience of doctors last month that the Hindu god Ganesh's head was evidence of ancient plastic surgery. A warrior the Mahabharata describes as born outside his mother's womb was a test-tube baby, Modi said.

Only fools would believe that.

@SarthakGanguly @scorpionx - You've got to be kidding me; I know we've indulged in an omission here and an exaggeration there throughout our History books but this is taking 'Revisionism' to a whole new level ! o_O

I know that Ancient Civilizations were more advanced than we give them the credit of being but Nukes, Airplanes and Stem Cells seems a tad bit excessive, don't you think ? :what:

He was quoting a book. Watch his video if possible. Some were his religious views. The guy was speaking, putting a point forward. Putting that on paper as a paper/fact is another matter. Yes, anti Hindus have got some ammo to hit their favorite target, but otherwise this deserves no attention from me. He said repeatedly that there are many proofs for it and many against it. Mud slinging is fun, but I sure ain't indulge here.

Secondly the other books written by Batra come under Mythology section and not in History. They are not part of the syllabus but kept in the Library along with The Time Machine by HG Wells. Yes, the machine is not invented yet.

As for Ancient Civs - they certainly were more advanced than we like to admit (to hide our deficiencies and our stupidity as many mysteries remain unsolved). But how advanced they were is open to debate. And for a debate there needs to be proponents of both sides. Not a single unanimous voice saying 'Aye sir, they were savages'. :disagree:

Something that puts Erdogan to shame :D
Muslims may have discovered America. The evidence is not yet there. But the evidence countering that is also not there. They may have. They may not have. Not defending Erdogan, never have, but just saying - a possibility can't be dismissed so easily just because it goes against the current of the time.

I confess I haven't heard his interview or read his books but so far as I know; Mythology is talking about Thor's Hammer but taking that forward and asserting that the Nordic People had a Nuke at their disposal seems a bit more than just discussing Mythology.

Or maybe @scorpionx can correct me.

It's possible. They may have had something or interacted with a force that was beyond their comprehension. They may have been the most powerful race then. Anything is possible. I won't believe it. I won't disbelieve it.

This is important because till now we don't know how the Stonehenge came into being. Or how the Pyramids were built. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Before Dwarka was discovered in 2001 of the coast of present Dwarka and carbon dating suggested dates of 9000BC, it was considered a myth too. So I will remain open to any possibility. If that makes me a nut, so be it.
