Obvious , it has the blessing of Russia and China just act as middleman. It is to avoid direct accusations by India for providing high tech arms directly to Pakistan.

Russia Sukhoi market is shrinking. If Pakistan has open a new revenue for Russia market, why not? Just like RD-93 engine re export to Pakistan.

Su-35 has long leg and huge payload and able to go deep into india. It is the kind of offensive needed by PAF. 24 sounds a right amount for PAF.

Russian raise the issue regards to sukhoi fighter with China. If was agreed around 2010. China are allow to produce as much sukhoi clone as she want but only for domestic uses and not allow to export any sukhoi fighter.

Let me give you a simple hint. Has you seen any J-11B or J-11BS exhibit or perform in China Zuhai Airshow? Only military item allow to be export will be exhibit or showcase. Obviously J-11B or any China Sukhoi clone are not for export as agreed with Russian.

paf has need of su 35 type aircrfat because paf defend on only f 16. paf has not the alternate of f 16. jf 17 cannot play role as f 16.otherwise can ban any time during pak india war.

I think if the ministry of defence is abstaining from providing a categorical statement regarding the deal, means the discussion are underway covertly of course for obvious reasons. If there was no such a development, FO would have refuted the speculation.

So if somebody does not refute something means it is happening secretly. By that logic Pakistan will be buying all the equipment listed in press.

Neither Pakistan or Russia interested in SU-35 buying or selling, Russia have many joint projects with India and i highly doubt they would ever sell such high tech war plane to Pakistan which nullify India's SU-30 edge over Pakistan.

F-18 was offered to Pakistan back in 80s but Pakistan refuses and choose F-16 over F-18, Pakistan air force policy and preference is single engine fighter but now priorities changed and to defend Gawader Port against Indian hostilities we need long range medium to heavy fighter but unfortunately no choice available except used F-15 from USA or KSA.

Yes just trying to panic India a mutual Sazish by Rusi - Pak, Pakistan will never buy Russian fighters which have serious issues in fly by wire system and need extensive repairing and more on above Pakistan should not trust Russian may they stop spares in height of any tension between India and Pakistan.

We should look for used F-15 & F-18 instead of Russian junks, it is quite economical approach.
