most Indians have never met a pakistani.. and their entire view is based on terrorism and war ... if there is more people to people contact, we might not have such automatic 'pakistanis are bad' response.

Bharti hatred for Pakistani stems not from these 67 years. It is the ingrained hatred for many years prior to British. The British no matter how much imperialistic and prejudiced against muslims, did not allow total Hindu persecution of muslims post Mughals. The Marhatta conquests did not bear fruit of truly Hindu dominated India when British took full Reigns of India. This is the generations passed bile for muslims over centuries.

Having said that it does not apply on every Indian. It is a collective memory and trait. Many are free from this prejudice and are wonderful people. Nations have memories and traits which are independent of individuals.

Exactly, Their media has been the major trouble maker in our Bilateral relations. One Indian Politician quoted in his interview with CNN that in India it is far more easy to win the support of public by fueling the Negative sentiments instead of promising the public welfare works.
Indians vote those people who have toughest stance for Pakistan , Bangladesh , Sri lanka and even for Nigerians.
See Modi had toughest stance on Pakistan. No one has ever bashed Pakistan like he did but after he took the Oath he is being criticized for Normalizing relations between these 2 countries.
In short, India is a nation which feeds on hate and hate had been injected in their veins for achieving their Political interests.
