I am not an advocate of the Indian Establishment and some of its ways within the country and much of its foreign policy. Either now or before. I wish they were better.
On PDF I have before quoted
this article about how the Indian government bungled up the rescue of former Afghan President Najibullah in the 1990s which then led to his capture by the Taliban and his tortured execution.
1. But there are Taliban supporters on this forum.
2. Whether or not the NDS and Indian agencies support TTP you have to accept that the TTP's membership and enablement is mostly Pakistani though yes their ideology is from the regressive and historic Deoband mullah school in North India.
I am sure there are quite a few crack sniffers among the Taliban too given that they forced farmers to grow opium and sold that to the CIA.
1. No doubt the ANA kept sex slaves ( there was a PDF thread about this ) but the Taliban have been brutal too including in the past. They are forcing women to marry their fighters because of which women are being sent away by their families. And who knows how many boys the Taliban brutalized ?
2. The Taliban have assassinated intellectuals, journalists and women rights activists. From
this article from some days ago :
3. Many Afghans are seeking refuge in Iran, Turkey and Pakistan.
Some are not granted :
4. You mention the B-52 bombing deaths of Afghan civilians but the two million Afghan civilian deaths in the 1980s-90s war would not happened if the West, China and Zia ul Haq would not have interfered. The current deaths and misery are because of that interference.
Dostum is an opportunist. If you read the article I linked he was the one of those who betrayed Najibullah and then joined the so-called Mujahideen. It is possible that he will shake hands with the upcoming Taliban government.
When the Taliban ruled between 1996 and 2001 under international recognition did they establish an ideal progressive and just Islamic welfare state where no Kabuli or Afghan went hungry ?
But now that the Taliban are again going to form the government and receive lot of Western ( and probably Chinese ) aid will they establish an ideal progressive and just Islamic welfare state where there is no hunger and other want or will their priorities be different ?
Good, then Pakistan should help the progressive Afghans like the
Solidarity Party of Afghanistan in overthrowing the Taliban.
