Why does Pakistan keep asking for American mediation on Kashmir?
Given the extant of anti- Americanism in Pakistan?
don't the pakistanis suspect of a raw cia mossad conspiracy?

Please we are not discussing the arguments about Kashmir issue. Just about a possible American role that India always opposes

You have answered it yourself, Pakistan insists for the same reason India opposes.

I'm not sure about this, but what I suspect is the fact that Pakistani's dominate the university opinions in America on Kashmir.

Examples: George Mason, Colombia, etc All of them have yearly programs dedicated to debating and providing information on the Kashmir issue. And almost all of them are started by Kashmiris and Pakistanis.

If there is ever some kind of ... ugh ... debate? Everything goes according to what the Americans want.

Thats just my guess though.

Theres Anti-Pakistanism in America, your point?

Only illiterate people who don't think for themselves and let others throw crap into them.

Pakistan has been asking for American intervention since their SEATO and CENTO days of being America's most allied ally when India was drumming up nonsense in the NAM - till the 1980s the Americans bought the Pakistani story. Now, they no longer do. So it is a valid question - if both sides agree to America mediating now - Pakistanis would think that something is rotten in the state of Denmark.

because america has a habit of interfering in others affairs, so lets for one and only time use its dirty habit in a positive way..

but its impossible isnt it

if are talking abt U.S then they too want to stay away. it is not U.S who is interested in kashmir but it is pakistan who want U.S to take interest in kashmir.

Theoretical scenario....if India accepts American mediation will Pakistan be happy with it? More Pakistanis see America rather than India as the main threat in their country. Wrightly or Wrongly but anti-Americanism has gone beyong Anti-Indianism in Pakistan. Under such circumstances , isin't it confusing that Pakistani leaders still root for America to intervene in Kashmir? I mean everybody was expecting Obama to intervene after he said something about Kashmir in one of his election speeches.

Actually, from the perspective of a Pakistani - it would make sense to ask a country like Norway or Sweden to mediate - a country which has no stake in outcome of the Kashmir dispute - America is currently so tilted toward India that it is nothing short of foolish for Pakistanis to ask the Americans to intervene.

They also made a big deal about his middle name being Hussein. Actually, the way Obama magic spread across the world - everyone expected him to spray pixie dust and solve ALL problems - you would think it was not an election but the second coming of Christ.

Try what? Could you please explain.

The United States of America (being one of the oldest and the most powerful democracies in the world) will most likely support the idea of having a referendum in Kashmir and thats what Pakistan wants. A referendum that even India's first prime minister promised to the people of Kashmir, but India never fulfilled their first prime minister's promise to the people of Kashmir. We Pakistanis want the people of Kashmir to chose which country they want to be part of.

sorry bro but it is not feasible now. nobody can force india to conduct a referendum in kashmir not even U.S. the best sol is keep what both nations got & be happy.

You are highly mistaken if you think USA will support any measure out of any altruism. They will support the measure which is best for America. And let's not get into the history bit again - we all know your arguments about the referendum and you know ours about the conditions of the referendum not being fulfilled.
