As far as the aid is concerned as you stated emo that for the same money which they are getting right now politicians can impose another war on Pakistan....

As far as statement of Manmohan Singh is concerned there is serious debacle here about peace till the case of Mumbai is solved. People dont want to trust Pakistan though they do not fancy a war. Masses within in India are looking towards Pakistan for the results of Mumbai case how it rules out. People want to make decisions about peace and hostilities based upon results from Pakistan. People dont want peace with the Indian blood in hands of Pakistan with proving himself to be the safeguard for the same people.

Israel will attack Iran's nuclear facilities, and the US will help in every way except direct physical forces. The Saudis will allow Israel to fly over privately, and complain publicly. Iran will retaliate through proxies, but nothing Israel can't handle.

Also, US doesn't need to build bases in Pakistan. It will be in Afghanistan for the next 40 years. It is in the perfect location to keep an eye on Iran, Pakistan, China and Russia.

You forgot India in the list we are not that bad to be kept eye on... They may be ally but Americans are last person on the planet whom Indians actually trust. Now the game is who is going to use whom and how and send to trash can

No I am not saying that Pakistan is actually going to attack Iran but I am looking towards how the socio-political conditions are shaping up as per my first post. Can you deny the possibility that it is not possible.... It can be so I want to know how Pakistan will cope with it

I still don't understand your point. The US has a base in Afghanistan and doesn't need one in Pakistan. All they need from Pakistan is a supply route.

If they really wanted to, which will only happen if Iran attacks Israel directly, the Americans can attack from Afghanistan and Iraq. Why do they need Pakistan?

Can you spell out a scenario where Pakistan is involved in an Iran conflict?

In fact, if the US attacks Iran, it is almost certain that Pakistan would stop the NATO supply route through Pakistan.

This would impact Pakistani economy. And the sole reason to get Pakistan involved would be the Pakistani army to watch their back. They cannot expect same from Afghanistan and Iraq

Pakistani public opinion will not support complicity in a NATO attack on Iran. The public outrage would be similar to the Swat TTP video. Pakistani economy is not so fragile as you think.

No I am not worried about economy of Pakistan... If any such thing happens last thing I would wanna be the politician in Pakistan. Pakistani public at one end and Americans at another

And i will say again the public pressure on Pakistani leadership will be immense there is no Pakistan will act as a tool in Hands of Americans for their Iran Adventure, Pakistan is not a 'satellite state', it will all depend on pressure handling, but here one point to note will America use India as a tool to pressurize Pakistan??
