If it was fired from Afghan territory it was well away from the range of MANPADs. There is standard protocol of dispatching an interceptor to the border if a bogie come with in 10 km of the border. So if there way a drone PAF had an eye on it and there has to be some more info than this. Ary could be at mistake because there has been no other news.

I am talking about this single incident but in general sense, they are breaching our airspace since long time but always political leadership not allow defense forces to take action but keep in mind since OBL incident our assets are always alert and equipped to take down bogies from Afghanistan...we even demonstrate our capability when Iranian tries same...

I don't think Pakistan Military needs permission from the politicians to engage any bogie, This is not how command of chain works in Pakistan military. PAF has been authorized and they will engage any bogie. You don't call the PM we have an Air space violation. if Air space is in denial PAF has authority to take down the violator. If it was a MQ-9 it was visible on RADAR and they would have intercepted. If it was senital then it is hard to track but I don't think sentinal carry weapons. Still I don't believe in the news as the orders were clear and PAF would have engaged unless the drone was well out of range before the interception but then again with in 10 km of border is consider a hostile act and jet would have been in range by then.

We don't have anti air installed on Afghan border it will have to be intercepted via fighter jet. But I think there is no other news till now on any TV channels lets wait and see, because PAF warning was clear and there was meeting of PA and Afghan forces early. It could have been that Drone was air borne and PAF thought that it is operating with in Afghan territory on a mission. Or may be they were chasing a target from Afghanistan entering Pakistan. God knows what the scenario was or did it actually happened or not.

What about those HQ 16 batteries that were integrated in to our air defense system? I don't think that none of them were deployed on Afghan side.

Armed forces identified the bogies and informed higher commands since US is not consider an enemy and we were front line supporters of US action against Taliban hence needs permission from Govt to engage friendly bogies since it can change our relations but political Govt want to negotiate this issue via political channels hence permission not granted from Govt.

pakistan can't do anything about drone strikes.they hide it quickly because it will create more unrest.
