Are you a pea brain or you want Pakistan to be another North Korea? Think before you write. Access to air space is based on certain protocol and agreements. Even the USAF cannot simply fly in without submitting a flight plan and approvals. Do you want Pakistan to shoot down an unarmed plane carrying a senior Government official simply because it is American?

No offense, but stupid comment. That’s not how international overflight rules work, unless you want Pakistan to completely isolate itself like a hermit country just because we’re too petty? You do realize they have to pay CAA a hefty sum for every minute they use our airspace too right? As If it’s free.

Allowing everyone to use our bases and airspace for evacuation was a master stroke of Geopolitics, while india and afghan puppets cry about Pakistans involvement with the Taliban, the world is instead forced to thank us for helping them, drowning out all the Indian and afghan cries. Sadly too many emotional Pakistanis refuse to understand how geopolitics work and just Curse the government and establishment every opportunity they can find.

They have access to our airspace until 11th September according to the previous agreement regardless. Unless you want Pakistan to go Back on international agreements too, i‘m sure that will make Pakistan look extremely brave to the world And they’ll instantly start worshiping us.

Truth is, everyone in the west knows, the CIA knows, the US knows, the UK knows. Pakistan helps the Taliban freely; intelligence, volunteers, money, you name it. But they (the west) refuse to do anything about it, they don’t even mention or confirm it, because they know it’ll do nothing to change their situation, if anything it’ll just be them admitting they lost to us And at the same time losing Pakistans favor whom they so desperately needed in this evacuation. Heck Some part of them is also happy that it went down like this, that they can finally leave this mess behind.

All problems aside, so far, the Pakistani government and intelligence has played this game masterfully, now I hope they keep doing so, so that Pakistan can actually benefit off this situation by putting an end to the terrorist groups across the border funded by the other side of the border as well as send back the refugees, because contrary to what most Pakistanis believe and have been celebrating prematurely for, Pakistan has won absolutely nothing so far nor has it gotten anything back for the 10+ years of terrorism, lives and money lost (for which equal blame goes to ourselves, our government and our establishment), not until it Achieves the above mentioned goals, the long term benefits of US leaving and China moving in come in later.

Americans cannot afford to jeopardise their relationship with Pakistan.. as Pakistan is their only hope to have a say or sight in Afghanistan. In the coming days, the relationship would rather improve - at least it will become functional and transactional as it has been.
Especially as the US wants to still work on that initiative to create a trade route from Karachi all the way to Uzbekistan. The Central Asian countries want a way to diversify away from Russia & China and closer to the US. Pakistan is the only route, because the US won’t work with Iran.

.
Have Pakistan first asked CIA chief that we will public the news of your visit due to it is sensitive issue and discussion or they just done it without asking?

. . .
Did they learn nothing from when the British head of intelligence visited?

At least this time both of them have the same posture.
what’s the big deal? He might have just orchestrated a major military victory, he doesn’t have to prove anything with his posture. Let the Ranger sipahis take care of that at Wagah.

American officials flying on cargo planes?

You haven't seen Sec. Clinton's pics traveling on C-17? And she was the Secretary of State, a post higher in the pecking order than the CIA chief.

Happens all the time. Also is a function of logistics enroute, size of team, flight plan etc. C-17 has jump seats, but some C-17s also are retro'd with portion normal seats as well. So not sure why we are surprised that a high level delegation can be traveling on a C-17. Congressional visits are also often done on C-17s. BTW there is also a safety factor, C-17 provides an envelope of anonymity, and threat protection systems that other civil assets might not have.

These are converted planes better than many presidential jets in the world. They can be used for dual purposes.
bad news!

I don't think so. I think the world powers have realized that Talibans really are running the country now and they need Pakistan's influence to maintain normality, establish women's rights and safeguard the opponents, etc, etc. Pakistan could come out of this as a good guy too.
