Entire process is problematic. Schools should be legally empowered to deal with a problem child on their own. No need to involve Police in this shit.

Teachers can be prosecuted if they physically try to restrain a child. It can easily be framed as physical abuse by the parents.

Being a parent myself, I definitely demand safe environment for my child to be in but I am also responsible for teaching my child manners and morality. And this is not my exclusive responsibility, schools are supposed to be centers of learning for the children as well. There is clear difference between abusing a child and restraining a child from wrongdoing, putting a child in detention and informing parents subsequently. WE live in an era where activities within (and around) premises can be monitored and recorded - CCTV stuff.

American society should revisit this issue and find a better way to address it. If Teachers are not LEGALLY empowered in the disciplinary context, they will never be effective in fixing disciplinary problems. Calling Police on a 6 year old is beyond embarassing and stupid. A cop landed in trouble for arresting a 6 year old on top. You see the idiocracy level here?

Americans have created a mountain of virtually non-issue. How hard it is to discipline a 6 year old there. Jeez.

A 6 year old must be arrested with zip locks securing their hands, that's an obvious parenting problem I see.

That was difficult to watch. Deplorable human rights abuse right there. Members like VanguardOne, FedererExpress and Harmatia Antidote would never talk about incidents like this where they actually have the power to make a difference. The officer was fired. That certainly isn’t normal procedure.

However you have to wonder what serious thing happened to call the police in instead of her parents. She must have done something serious enough to another child(children) to prompt a lawsuit by other parents.

USA cops have to deal with people that can buy guns from any shops. So they can get shot easily where they work.

Maybe Chinese gifts shops are the preferred place.

About the matter of the child arrested by police, it’s plain stupidity.

A psychologist’s intervention would have been better for the child itself. It would have helped all people to understand why this child is violent if it was the case... maybe we would have discovered horrific reality in which this child is living in.
