This is why the USA is sick man of the middle east. They spent the last 20 years Strengthening Irans hand in the ME in Iraq syria and Afghanistan....now they want to get hostile. Make no sense. Stupid usa foreign policy just gets stupider.

I am surprised by the thinking of fellow Pakistani over this thread. how can you support US over Iran? Iran may have been hostile to us from the start but i would still back Iran over US. Because US has destroyed so many muslim countries for the sake of israel and if get a chance they will surely won't spare us too. It is really very sad how muslim of pakistan instead of backing Iranian muslim brother, siding with US and they all know US won't even spare us too. God forbid war between US and Iran but if it happens we must back and support our iranian muslim brothers over US.
I may have a brother who is hostile to me but when if some outsider tried to attacked him. I won't sit quietly seeing my brother get destroyed but will set aside our own differences and will support my brother against an outsider. and especially when one know that after my brother it is gonna be my turn also, so then definitely i will back my brother also for my sake too.

That's the sad thing, we have people like @Peaceful Civilian who say isreal is a peaceful country and Iran is bad despite Iran not having invaded a country in 300 years and isreal doesn't think twice to shoot down civilian airplanes to kill one person.

Perhaps, what you are suggesting, would not be possible, keeping in view both the internal conditions of Pakistan, as well as, its external relations. So, perhaps a neutral stance would be possible, at best.

It's a mess.

But one thing is clear.

As long as Trump and Netanyahu are in power, Iran is under the gun.

The Iranian goverment are no angels, but who is the lesser of the evils?

Iran-US war would be DISASTEROUS for the region including Pakistan.

People here don't prescribe to Ummah.

But at the very least Iranian ambitions are limited.

Those of the US/Israel not so much.

Totally agree. I think, perhaps Russia and China will play their role to contain US; since such an action of US would also seriously damage their interests. Lately, they are somewhat awakening to the US onslaughts.
