We will bring it on buddy.

Good Aerial Defence beats Good Aerial Offensive anyday.

Just ask the Israelis in the opening days of Yom Kippur War, then strong Egyptian Air Defenses stopped the mightiest Air Force in the Middle East.

Pakistan cannot match India, plane for plane. But by investing heavily anti-air defenses, one missile battery is equivalent to one Air Squadron and which will level the playing field and cost India dearly economically.

Don't you remember Six day war , How a small country named Israel Defeated Humiliated Whole "Muslim world" in middle east with the help of Strong air force.

You mean HQ-9.

I'ms sure SPECTRA can do the most devastating SEAD ops against any SAM system that uses a radar to
acquire targets. Including S-300V, HQ-9 and Spada-2000.

Has it been tested against HQ-9? If not than keep your speculations to yourself. We will know in due time whether it is effective against the SPECTRA or not, only a war will prove effectiveness of this system.

Hi-

plagiarism is something else- every info people share here is taken from some one elses work-

Yes, information is taken and opinions formed.. Copy pasting deserves at least an indication of being foreign or the link to acknowledge the work of the author..

Now who's living in the past?

Look here "mate", SAM systems like HQ-9 acquire they're targets by means of an active radar, which sends out its location to any passive radar detector in the area which catch the active radar's outgoing wavelengths and compromise its location.

Rafale has the SPECTRA EW suite (which is often regarded as the best operational EW suite onboard a fighter in the world, along with the F-22 Raptor's EW suite), this system passively detects, and then jams any SAM missile radar in the vicinity of the Rafale's own radar range. With its radar system jammed, the missiles, regardless of where they maybe located, shall become useless.

The SPECTRA is undergoing deep upgrades to further enhance its capabilities to meet all kinds of present threats and India is going to get the object codes of the radar so that we can keep updating its threat library to actively assist the SPECTRA in dealing with all new-generation air and ground threats.

Show me your rubber stamped Birth certificate ?? If Not Then stop being a Pakistani ,are you ?

Best of Luck!!!!!!!!!!!Mate...

Thank you.

If war does break out between India and Pakistan, our first attempt would be to sneak infiltrators into major Indian bases and cause havok and destroy large number of Indian Planes.

Then we will deploy our frontline missile batteries to shoot down any incoming Indian planes. Once Indian Air Force has taken a major punishment and retreated to lick its wounds, then our air force would establish an air superiority area over the battlefield and take out Indian Ground Forces which will pave the way for Pakistani Ground Forces to penetrate deep into India and sieze territory to be used in bargaining to end the conflict.

The key is to damage the Indian Air Force in a ground attack and get them to attack Pakistan in which they will run into the teeth of Pakistan SAM Batteries. :D

Actually, its not that simple. A lot will also depend on the 'power' of the radar. Having said that, we have the K-100 and BrahMos in the arsenal for exactly this purpose.

For one, all bases are not Kamra AFB..

Any factual evidence to prove that Pakistan is really buying HQ-9 ?

Buddy, these birds won't be deployed into Indian Air Bases for another 5 years or so. That is plenty of time to develop some sort of counter-measure to SPECTRA EW.

You are living in the past if you believe that there is no weapon platform that cannot be defeated.

In an international discussion forum- such thing should be obvious- in the end it only come down to this- did you had that peace of info before and prepared a counter argument- or you go for a tangent and start talking about academic ethics- which in your case seems like is indeed the later- Ruined the whole argument though-

Yes the average and peak power outputs. Plus the Reciever Noise Figure/Temperature determines
how well a radar's EM noise figures merge into the surrounding noise. A lower NF/T figure, the higher
the chances of not being detected. Being in a very low NF/T figure is called "LPI mode" by some.

HQ-9 uses PESA radars for target acquisition. Compared to an AESA like RBE2, these radars are pretty
easy to catch. From what I know there is no Hybrid array design employed in HQ-9's radars.

Both sides are improving they're arsenals. But India is ahead here.
Its always that little difference that makes up the trash between success and failure in war.
In a typical war, I cannot say Rafale will never be shot down, but what Im saying is
Rafale will have upper hand.

Then you have not seen international discussion forums....

Nothing in a forum is obvious unless pointed out, it really creates a very bad impression doing that.

Ruined or not, I will point out such tactics because they degrade the whole dicussion, and if you might have noticed we were already off-topic..

Also, I did not have the info before hand, i just did a google search because in another thread he did the same and other members pointed it out..

Please don't compare Arabs with Pakistanis.

After Arabs were humiliated in 6 Day War, they asked for Pakistan's help and fought much better in 1973 War.

And Pakistan is not stupid to leave its planes lying around like this. They are secured in a tertiary layer of missiles and anti-aircraft batteries and hardened bunkers.
