I don't agree with most of your views but you are at least man of conviction - true to your views unlike the typical sanctimonous gits that proliferate here. You know the type, one second "ummah dummah" or "Muslim, Muslim, Pakistan Kya Matlab" and then take up positions contrary to what they preach.

It is not always easy to uphold your convictions but holding on them in adverse circumstances is what matters.

2nd every Afghan in Pakistan is potential bharti asset.. maybe you dont follow the news but several Afghans in past few months have been arrested bcoz of NDS [kabul branch of RAW] link. I'll tell you. Before APS massacre, all of you were supporting Afghan refugees, but after Peshawar School Massacre, you were upset. You were hurt. And now you are trying to match the dirty Afghans and Indians in hate. I'm sorry to say this, but Pakistanis have always had a bigger heart. I refuse to be a racist towards Afghans. I am a Muslim. I'm not going to join the hate bandwagon.


There are a lot of good Afghan refugees in Pakistan that consider themselves Pakistani. I am not going to be party to discrimination.

A lot of you guys need to grow up. Pakistanis are not vicious and ruthless. We have ideals to uphold. We are the kindest people on Earth, so when I see some of you seething with anger, it hurts my heart. There is no reason for us to behave like Afghan and Hindu government.

Perhaps If our leaders were interested in integration instead of corruption, we would not be in the predicament that we are.

Agreed with you. My love for Pakistan is no secret and I do not consider Afghanis to be our enemies. They are our brothers, we helped in the time of their duress but most of them have taken Pakistan as their homeland...2-3 million people in 180-200 million (no census ). We are emotional people and that's not a good national trait. Afghans despite issues have been our friends and they share our religion, culture and language. In addition, they have relatives.
We should understand the difference between Afghans and their govt. NDS and Northern alliance are actually anti-Pakistan to the core and, yes, they are our enemies and they have relations with our enemies. They have been brought into the power by USA as part of the great game..it is neither democracy, nor any favour to Afghan people...The moment USA withdraws from Afghanistan, their govt will fall...Uncle Sam knows that and that is why he is trying to replace Pakistan with India in Afghanistan so that when he leaves...their govt of NDS-terrorists can continue. That is why I have been openly saying that Pakistan should support Afghan Talibans openly....Regardless of what uncle sam says or thinks. Afghan Taliban despite being betrayed by Musharraf have not officially been anti-Pakistan and not a single official against Pakistan is on records and they are supported by people of Afghanistan otherwise they had no chance to stand against US and NATO forces for more than a decade especially after Pakistan, their main ally withdrew his support and let them alone in a lurch.
I hope people can understand the true game because USA is not in Afghanistan for the sake of Afghanistan...It has much bigger plans...though most of his plans have been ruined but still he is manoeuvring and exercising other options

Years ago I was working on my first book which is about the Pashtun regions of Pakistan, mainly talking about Swat and South Waziristan covering two operations, the Rah e Nijat and Rah E Rast (Black Thunderstorm)... resultantly doing so much research on pashtuns and working hard to learn the ethnography and demography of the various tribes I have come to love them and consider myself one even though going by family links we have very little links.

I have much respect for Pashtuns and that is why I joined some pashtun forums on the net. What I witnessed there has scarred me for eternity and helped me develop a very negative view of Afghans in general and Afghan Pashtuns in particular. Though I still love Pashtuns the Afghans are nothing more than internet bullies and are supporting the breakup of Pakistan as a country. They abuse all other ethnicities, hate Pakistan, abuse Jinnah and insult us regularly.

They consider the Tajiks Uzbeks and Hazaras as their own and want the pashtuns of Pakistan to pull away from Punjabis Sindhis and others. Now this might seem like a usual diatribe but there is much hypocrisy in the Afghan stance and their constant blame for all problems in Afghanistan towards Pakistan. I want to be a pashtun and have spoken against biases against Pashtuns often including from urdu speakers but I can never tolerate anyone working to break my country. Afghans do not accept the durand line and believe pashtuns should join them even though the minority usually joins the majority. 33 million Afghans and 14 million Afghan pashtuns should join 180 million Pakistanis and 30 million Pakistani pashtuns. Not the other way around. But Afghans have twisted history to such an extent that they believe pashtuns cannot and should not be loyal to Pakistan.

Now lastofthepatriots you haven't seen the abuse some of the Afghan nationals have for us. If Afghans are willing to take steps to correct the relationship they are welcome. If they come to divide the country and worship India we will send them back crying like when they tried to invade Bajaur.

PS. I want relations to work and Pashtuns on both sides to progress. But I have never witnessed more hatred, even from Indians than on those Afghan forums.

I've known you for a very long time, and I know exactly which forum you used to post on. Trust me, most of the people on that forum are not Pashtuns.

What I am trying to say is, talk to the Afghan Pashtuns in Pakistan that don't have internet access. They are just as simple as our own villagers, and honestly give 0 fucks about Afghanistan. They only care about their livliehood and are by default Pakistanis. They even call themselves Pakistanis.

I hope that is the truth. I have a special feeling for pashtuns and want to be like them. But that does not have to come at the cost of me losing my Pakistaniat. I can tolerate anything but not the breakup of the country. Afghans have to their credit a history of unending war and violence. I feel sorry for them but at the same time view their anti Pakistani sentiments with a bit erratically.

In reality though the pashtuns are right. No one has a history as great as them. The suris, lodhis, ghilzais, ghaznavids, ghorids, durannis were all Pashtuns. This is rich history and the pashtuns on both sides are justified in trying to maintain it. Every culture infact should protect its rich history and culture.

The problem within Pakistan emanates from our lack of understanding and failure to find a balance between respect for ethnicities and division. It is possible to be a culture respecting pashtun and love Pakistan. In fact I prefer if Pashtuns know more about their history like Afghan Pashtuns do. It will help our Pakistani pashtun community speak in their defence, and have the knowledge to deal with traitors. I believe all ethnic groups can deal with their own traitors. I am a critic of muhajirs even though my family considers itself one.

Most of the great Pashtuns you mentioned were born in what is known as Pakistani territory today.

their govt is responsible for making pak kick their people back to afghanistan and with every passing day they take steps to piss off pakistan in order to please their new master. there is no way through which we can say which refugees are good or bad. one thing is established that most of them are living in pak without proper documentation . their poverty , lack of knowledge of islam and it's extremist interpretation make them very vulnerable to anti pak agencies. many of them joined raw and cia funded TTP and they are liable to join the more dangerous form daesh as well. overall i am in favor of concept of ummah but for that purpose all the muslims must have to put in their efforts .their govt is being used by the anti pak countries and we cant let their people harming us in ignorance. no one should compare them to pakistani nationals in other countries. most of the pakistanis there have their documentation complete , abide by the law of land and work as doctors, engineers and other fields. on the other hand majority of afghan refugees are involved in kidnapping and smuggling. not all of them are bad people but it is better to send all of them back to their country and let ghani take care of his people.

Pakistan always had sympathy for afghans but they have been ungrateful in return.Its better if they return back to there country and do something useful there.

They say we have about 2 million refugees in PK, i believe the real number is much higher.......I dont know about your town, but where i live, near Kharian, Pathans are everywhere and own most of the shops.

Almost 20,000 Pakistani soldiers are martyred just because of Afghan terrorism. They still blames us for not supporting them, while on the other hand the are being on Indian side and working contently against Pakistan. Thousands of people killed by Afghani sent terrorists. Afghan pashtuns are more anti-Pakistan then ANA/Tajik nexus. Afghan pashtun leaders were responsible for interfering in Pakistan since 1947. Tajiks/Farsis who just got in power after NATO invasion didn't care about Pakistan till we supported taliban (Afghan pashtuns) against them. And why should they? So they could be crushed under so called Loy Afghanistan.

I keep reading posts on PDF which put all the blame on Afghani farsis, read history.
