Alternative exists for Pakistan: Why there is little need to worry about Kabul’s threat

You have a valid point but till the time they get those...Pakistan will have sufficient resources to adequately counter any threats from them...Furthermore who knows how long this imposed group will remain in power.

Its not "the group", its your neighbor supporting whoever comes into power. You won't see a Pakistan friendly person in power in Afghanistan, guaranteed.

. .
There is a lot more than a "little" need to worry about Afghanistan. Sooner or later, they will get some F-16's or Mig's, etc, some combat heli's, etc and India is there to support them in getting those. The main focus point those would serve, would be against Pakistan.

So if I was to guess, Pakistan will need a small air-arm (3-4 squadrons), plus couple of divisions of the military and associated combat support aircraft / heli's to permanently keep close to the Afghani side. This show has just started and India will make sure that Afghanistan can become a pain point for Pakistan. Just the way stuff works in today' world.

Let them clear the first stage Talibans that also if the US and NATO backing them up with new Tec which is way head of your Tec

Article here, excerpts below:

Commerce Minister Khurram Dastgir told the National Assembly Standing Committee on Commerce in February this year that in the face of slow progress by Kabul on the trilateral transit trade agreement, Pakistan wanted to revive its trade accord with China, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan to reach markets of Central Asia.

The four-nation pact was signed in 1995, but it came into force in May 2004, allowing goods transport to Central Asia via China. This is an alternative route on
which Pakistan and China are working since transit and bilateral trade with Kabul has been at a standstill. This has upset both Delhi and Kabul with warnings and allegations coming from the latter from time to time.
Told you so @A-Team and @RedHulk , we have not really needed Afghan route to connect to Central Asia. All our traffic is concentrated through China, we have a trade agreement in place. It is a secure route. But i do wonder what Afghan government was thinking when they apparently blocked our trade, who was even using Afghanistan? I wonder who they have really affected, certainly not us. I think they knew they couldn't hold leverage over Pakistan, just a pleasing move i guess. Nice try though.

Where are our good Indian friends. @Arsalan ,@Zibago ,@The Sandman , and those who missed this thread.

We have numerous transit and supply routes to Central Asia, Pakistan is welcome to use them anytime.

Your are building the roads simple as that, you do not own them. The respective countries own them. There will be time where emerging countries will use them to export to Europe.

So you think India can use roads in Chinese territory to move goods/resources to and from Central Asia? I'd love to see you try.

Use of Afghanistan is inevitable for Pakistan in one way or the other, unless you want to move projects like TAPI and others via China as well. :)

Fibers optics via China as well
We will have a fiber link with Central Asia through China soon, maybe you don't follow the news much. This will be connected with Central Asia and is bound to develop that region near Pakistani China border in particular; win-win. Wait there was a thread on this too.

TAPI, CASA
Do tell me as to how Afghanistan can have a leverage on Pakistan as far as these projects are concerned? Will Afghanistan block these projects, i thought these projects would economically benefit Afghanistan.
Why we will need chinese territory once we are a super power, we will have a direct border with Afghanistan.
We can't stop you from dreaming, now can we.

No you should not, one shall only respect the dreamers who become doers.

Anyways, that was a lighter comment in response toy the similar one from you. I have better concerns for now.

Would this "super power" would try to take back territory that it humiliatingly lost to China in 62 war or would continue to dream about Gilgit Baltistan only?

You can run a fiber optic, and other projects via Africa as well but it's all about costs. Afghanistan offers the shortest path for any project plain and simple. Anyways Pakistan is simple attaching economics with politics which it shouldn't and should learn from Chinese-Indian setup.
