Altaf terms opening of Taliban office a dangerous option

Merijan, the US is not Pakistan, they give a damn about the Afghanis, they were in full swing to make a pipeline through Afghanistan with the Talibs earning money in early 2001. It's us who should look for how the Talibs are against us, Pakistan is not an invader, we are underseige, the US is not. So the Pakistani side is very very different and we should look at that.

I know all this, but that still doesn't legitimize the claim that IK actually wanted to legalize TTP by offering them to have an office. His statements I guess are crystal clear from start on this and I've been saying this since the day IK issued this statement.

And if TTP won't disband their office once peace talks will end, then that will be a failure on part of Pakistan Govt.

Inside news is that nadra is very much capable of providing this facility. They were ready to support during last elections, but these political parties don't want it. Everyone knows why. Nadra has such comprehensive system that it has been exporting it services to other countries. Present introduction of smart card is such a wonder that pakistani nationals while going abroad or returning can be saved from the hassle of immigration with introduction of e-gates like you have in Dubai. But the problem is by introducing such system, PAIDA will be over.
