KARACHI - The PML-F has said that MQM chief Altaf Hussain’s threatening statement to carve another province in Sindh is unacceptable.
PML-F Sindh General Secretary Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh said this at the residence of businessman Kamran Tessori, who announced joining the PML-F.Shaikh welcomed Tessori in the party, saying that more people will join the PML-F as people of Sindh are fed up with the policies of the ruling PPP.He condemned the delay in issuing of notification to declare PML-F’s MPA Nusrat Sehar Abbasi as opposition leader in the Sindh Assembly. He said that Sindh govt was afraid of the lady member as opposition leader in the Sindh Assembly, so the Speaker was avoiding issuing notification of the opposition leader. He said that if the Speaker would not issue the notification to declare Nusrat Abbasi as opposition leader, the PML-F would approach the court soon.Shaikh said that his party was in favour of local government system but they would not accept dual administrative system in the province.Condemning the negligence over the deaths of 300 children due to measles, the PML-F leader said that Sindh Health Department had failed in fulfilling its responsibility while the Sindh chief minister was also helpless in this regard. He appealed to Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to come up to help Sindh tackling the measles issue as Sindh government has been failed.Nusrat Sehar Abbasi, Jadim Mangrio, Rafiq Bhanbhan and other leaders and lawmakers of the party were present on this occasion.SHUJAAT TAKES UP ISSUES WITH QAIM: Chief of Pakistan Muslim League (Q) Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain in his meeting with Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah expressed reservations over the ruling party’s leadership’s step of negotiations with the PML-Q leaders to join the PPP. “Being the coalition partner, we will not accept that the government ministers of the PPP negotiate and appease the PML-Q leaders to convince them to join the PPP,” confirmed a PML-Q leader who attended the meeting. It may be noted that heavy weights of the PML-Q in almost all districts have changed their loyalty by quitting the PML-Q and joined the ruling PPP. The Shirazi brothers in Thatta, Mahar brothers in Ghotki, Altaf Unar in Larkana and others have recently left the PML-Q and joined the ruling PPP. Similarly, the PML-Q leaders from Naushehro Feroze and other areas also switched their loyalties and joined the ruling party. The PML-Q chief also raised the issue of powers of the PML-Q ministers and advisors as they have been complaining that they secretaries and district management does not listen their orders. The chief minister assured the PML-Q chief of resolving their all issues. Meanwhile, an official statement issued from the CM secretariat said that both the leaders discussed matters of mutual interest and political situation prevailing the province. The issues of mutual cooperation at all levels were also discussed and both the leaders resolved that cooperation will be extended at all levels for strengthening the democracy and democratic institution in the larger interest of country. Aleem Adil Sheikh and Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh Haleem Adil Shaikh were also present on the occasion. Earlier, on his arrival, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain was warmly greeted by Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, Awais Muzaffar, Principal Secretary to CM Siddique Memon and others. Besides Tariq Hasan, Meerani and others accompanied Chaudhry Shujaat.
