Coal is already being imported from Indonesia I think because Thar Coal Project is still in Pipeline and the gas that comes from Qadirpur Gas Field is run by Federal Govt. not by Sindh Govt. Did you even read the GDP Figures that I quoted or just come up with argument out of thin air?That GDP Contribution Figures are INDIGENOUS not based on Custom Duty otherwise this would be more then 60% which would be Collections instead of generation while $78 Billion out of $245 Billion is 31% of GDP contribution from Karachi which is $40 Billion in case of Lahore out of Pakistani $245 Billion which is equal to 16%. In old city Area they and their Business still Exist and dominates Clothing business there. The only ones who shifted were Chinioti Industrialists and they shifted mostly because of Free Trade Industrial Zones were initiated in Punjab Province by Nawaz Sharif Govt. back in 1990s. Bhatta was indeed the contributor but not the Major one because their Profitability was higher as Karachi is close to Port so they had Logistics was Cheaper and easier from Karachi compare to Punjab. Your gdp numbers are exagerated, $78 billion is old PPP figure and not nominal. Sindh share in Pak GDP is 27%, 20% from Karachi. So yes without Karachi Sindh share is even less then KPK which have 10-11%.
