LONDON: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader, Altaf Hussain, has announced to voluntarily relinquish the party leadership henceforth, Geo News reported.



"Metropolitan police raided one of my houses in London. When the home of a person who is also the political leader of millions of people is subjected to a raid by law enforcing agencies, then it becomes imperative for him to step down", said he talking exclusively to Geo News.

This the latest development. Looks like the Metro Police has zeroed in and may have enough evidence to charge this low life for the murder of Imran Farooq.

The scary situation would be if there is a run for Power because of Power vacuum. I just hope there is no attempt at Power Grab because that would be bloody.

I wasn't aware of this. I had assumed he was only a spiritual leader for the MQM Killers and he didn't hold any positions in the party in the first place, hence he was in UK indefinitely.

The ground reality it seems the " Mohajars" in Karachi have assimilated themselves into Pakistanis and have become patriotic Pakistanis, and thus they see MQM as a problem not a solution. More "Mohajers " in Karachi are voting for PTI now. MQM is becoming history.

I am using the term mahajer loosely. Of course those guys are Pakistanis.

MQM has been loosing support from Mohajirs/Urduspeakers for a long time, it's only their Bhata Khori tactics that was keeping them in power. Most Urduspeakers I know hate MQM. It's only the nationalistic street thugs that love them. Most Urduspeakers I know wanted to vote for Imran Khan, yet MQM stopped them.

dude you are in dilusion that MQM has lost support, PTI was just a reactionary anti MQM sentiment, all voters will again come into the circle in no time
