Check Karachi's demographic profile. City is "Big India".
Please, provide a source for this rather far fetched claim. I don't see a great number of Indians residing in the city illegally nor do I know a single person in Karachi, who is of the same opinion as you. What is the basis of your claim then? Unless of course, you are labeling the Urdu-speakers in the city as being Indian, in which case it is a different story altogether. One that is very offensive to us.
Those Muslims will pour into Karachi.
I don't understand. Isn't that what the great founder of this country was trying to do? Such migration, despite being extremely late, is predicted amd encouraged by the "Two nation theory". I personally am not aware of any time limit on the theory. Why would you put it in negative light then?
Does it have to be managed? For certain, yes. Since, it will put a huge burden on the city's already taxed resources. Should we prohibit it, in the first place, though? No, because that is the premise on which this country was made.
As for the Afghan refugees pool being smaller than some imagined "UP/Bihar" one. Where exactly is this data coming from?
I guess considering Jinnah was from Gujarat, Liaquat from Central India - he probably has an issue with them too.
There's the great dilemma that haunts most of them. See, they want to curse and vilify the migrants who came from India and Bangladesh during different periods of time. How they are poor, low caliber, Hindustani and not of the same noble blood as them. And then the reality sets in. The founder of this country migrated from India, so did other important leaders of the Pakistan movement. At the end of the day, the truth is that migrants made this country, worked for its development and prosperity, gave it its identity and are more educated and influential than most of the other races. The fact that they don't like us, doesn't change a single damn thing. And you know the best part? All of this conversation/venom spitting against the migrants, will take place in Urdu, not in one of their regional languages. Ah, the irony!
I am extremely disgusted by the behavior of my dear countrymen on this thread, disagreeing with the Govt's decision to award certain Indian people, Pakistani nationality. Most of which are reuniting with their spouses or escaping persecution. Go, read why this country was made! It is shameful that a good number of the people sporting the Pakistan flag are unaware of the basis of creation of the country.
