Media has a great role in propaganda and brainwashing people. That's the core reason that many TV channels are created at the first place. I don't know about Eman, but Wesal was injecting extremism to people's brain, which is the basic step of making terrorists.

Well, some people are more prone to accepting bullshit. Especially if they are from the lower classes (no disrespect) or have problems. Either academic, social, sometimes even sexual or whatever. Types like OBL that were born into enormous richness, that travelled across the world since childhood, had a privileged background etc. and still end up in some cave in Afghanistan are very rare nowadays.

There is a clear pattern among the 2000 or so Saudi Arabian nationals that have travelled abroad for militancy. Those problems I mentioned above are often present, they are often young (16-25 years most commonly) and they are often lured under false premises and many want to return when they see the reality but are unable to or get killed before they can do such a thing. Still many have returned and frighteningly many were underage. The programs that Dawood al-Shirian hosts had such cases and they can also be found on Youtube.
As I see it is most of such people are ignorant, are going abroad because they hear of all kind of injustices (in their minds at least) but the reality is often totally different. Such people can be reformed.
Now the real bastards are the leadership of ISIS and some of those retard "clerics" found on the internet etc. who are speaking about Jihad but never doing it themselves.
I am all for closing Wesal but the other channels that deal with religion there is no reason to close that as they are good and not only deal with religion.
It's those 1-3 channels that are sometimes crossing the lines that need to be dealt with and those that finance them and are keeping them alive IMO.
Well, we cannot know what will follow but it's the first such attack of its kind in KSA. Generally there have been few terrorist attacks in KSA but the ones that took place involved AQAP/AQ and they almost always targeted police/army/SANG/Westerners/compounds/tourists etc. So that's why people were shocked about this news.
Well in terms of governance and certain rules then that has already taken place since 2005 but I was more referring to Islam as a personal thing among people. I very much doubt that people would suddenly leave Islam after 1400 years.
Most people in KSA are already Muslims like anywhere else in the world yet that does not stop them from having life's identical to non-Muslims outside of a few exceptions such as drinking alcohol, eating pork etc. which a few do nevertheless.
