All Indian currency to be legal in Nepal, Bhutan soon

I this a news? I have been going to Nepal since my childhood and i never ever exchanged my rupee with NC. Its freely accepted in Nepal and even in Bhutan.
Nepalese currency is also accepted in neighboring town along Indian boarder. Now according to your logic Nepali currency is freely accepted in India right?

I have travelled to Nepal twice and both times I did all kind of shopping with Indian currency. I was never asked for Nepali currency, though I got the change back in Nepali currency.

Nepali currency is accepted in the border districts but not in the rest of India. Indian currency is accepted in almost all parts of Nepal. If you are really a Nepali you would know this to be true. Its a reflection of the close links and trust Indo-Nepal has. I am not sure why you are objecting.

.
Not when they are willingly doing it.. Now Shuuuuu... your turn coming soon.

Stop dreaming. We are not Bhutan. Or even Nepal or Mauritius. We are a nation of Muslims who will not allow Hindu political, cultural, economic or military ingress.

Nope carrying Indian denomination worth 500 & 1000 is illegal in Nepal, since u skipped security checks and it was accepted by shopkeeper in some areas doesn't legalize it. The ban has come since 2011 and next time be careful while holding it in Nepal

There are no security checks for Indians arriving into Nepal. What are you talking about ?

In any case, this recent move to include 500 & 1000 denomination is good for Nepali economy since it will encourage more Indians to spend more money in Nepal. Especially in your casinos :D

I flew into Kathmandu.

In fact I had more trouble exiting Nepal than when entering Nepal. I had purchased a few Kukri Knives, couple of them off an road side vendor. The security at the airport asked me to provide receipt of purchase which obviously I did not have. Needless to say the security seem to be Indian :P ... probably CRPF, and they asked for a bribe or asked me to "leave behind" a few knives.

this is nothing to do with religion. this is about modi's dream of realizing south asian economic union on the lines of european union. this is good for all south asian countries. it is time Sri Lanka, and BD are also brought into this union

For that we need to bring common currency like Euro not Imposing Indian currency for it coz no one will like the idea.

Then India should make an example and adopt the Nepalese currency.

why not, but as india is a larger economy in this region...rupee should be acceptable to international community and all south asian nations as a legal tender

Here is the problem, because Indian economy is big so Indian currency then Chinese is even bigger economy does it mean we should have Asian currency of yuan?
It will be even better for region even for India as you rupee depreciated more than 20% last year so accepting Chinese yuan will make it stable against US $

. .
No, but ask yourself, what you get by giving them an unrestricted access in Nepal? There aren't much visitors from that country anyway.
There are visitor from china and USA as well which expense more in compare to Indian so if we legalize it what a mess will Nepalese economy be.

actually you can't be Nepal or bhutan or mauritius.
Because your currency has smaller value than nepali currency.
Compare exchange rate of all above country's currency per dollar with your rupee.
You will know the fact.
How dumb you are sorry but you are dumb..bringing religion in an economic thread
