Alarming Elderly Suicides in Rural China

I'm happy that you've obeyed my advice to post something of more substance rather than just one-liners.

But I'm worried about your replies. Are you saying that elderly suicide is an unavoidable price that China must pay in order to develop? As long as your country develope and industrialise, you dont mind that China's elderly suicide rate is above world average?

The report said that the rate will expect to rise if nothing is done about it. So why do you talk about zunlao when your elderly suicide rate is higher than the world's average and is expected to continue to rise?
i'm also happy that you grow up a little, you no longer look naive and ill-bred. i just want to say that thank you for concerning about china's problem, chinese do not worry about it ,what are you/viet so worried about ? you shoud be worried about viet's problem, shoudn't you?

That Indian is in no way educate-able. Simply ignore. He is on a trolling fever.

This is an international forum. I'm free to post whatever topic I like. And I consider this topic worthy to be discussed. And what has VietNam got to do with anything here? I'm not Viet either.

You mentioned zunlao and filial piety, but then say that high chinese elderly suicide rate is just a price to pay for development and that you dont care. TaiShang also said similar things.

It seems like both of you are part of those netizens who laughed at the recent incidents where old people were not given a bus seat, and some even got attacked by the chinese youths for asking for one.

My dear

I am not an Indian. So stop posting personal insults on India in the other threads. It only reflects the level of your immaturity.

Even here you're resorting to personal attacks. My posts have being backed up by sources, some even from the PRC. You have only resorted to name-calling here, you haven't replied to my post intellectually.

Population migration is a big problem in India too.. From my village many youngsters are getting settled in the cities, only elders are staying here. With in a few years it will become like a village for old people...

Development happens at the cost of happiness, I dont know whether I should call this as development or curse. I dare, no one could challenge this. I am staying alone in a city and earning lakhs, many times asked myself what's the point in earning money this way? It's not just my voice, its the voice of many people who are working at the corporates in India.
