They got kicked out of Saudi Arabia in 1991 and Sudan in 1995 and fled to Afghanistan in 1996.

My point was that initially the mainstream media in the west made not differentiation between the Taliban or AQ, they bunched the two together even though both of them were two different groups with two different agendas from the beginning. They were both terrorist in the eyes of the west and no effort was made to differentiate them.

Now all of a sudden you see the media reporting about how the Taliban were different from the start, a "national" movement while AQ has a global agenda, etc. to justify their negotiations and soft stance towards the Taliban to the American/Western people. Its the hypocrisy.

I looked it out neve shalon attacked 3 times , first attack attribituted to palestinian militant , the second attack suspected to be done by lebanon hezboallah and the third time a turkish group called Great eastrn islamic raiders accepted the responsibility and al-CIAda never had any claim on that and its the same for the second synagoge
