Al Khobar - Velvet Heart

. . . . .
I rate Al-Khobar the most modern and advance city of KSA.

I like to share a true but funny story about Al-Khobar:

First time westerners confuse it with 'alko. bar' and on the way from hotel, they think this sign on highway boards leads to some 'alcoholic bar'.

At least one of my Scandinavian colleague, thought so.... and he pointed it to me.

I have lived there for 3 years.... enjoyed the good restaurants and corniche.

Used to live in Al Khobar.

Just don't take a wrong turn somewhere and end up in Al Thugba :guns:

No not true.
Pepsi road is clean.

Yes it used to be clean during my stay too, but than there was this slum area ar-raka direction damam, which was gheto of south Indians, i thought swamp must have been over flowing.
Otherwise, pepsi road hit le-maridian, and should be under tight police watch, but there is a mosque behind pepsi building, which use ot conduct late Juma prayers and i have seen lot of mix public but that was mostly limited to Friday. I was having all these scenes running through my head.

Talking about Indian gheto, Bengali gheto subekha comes to mind, and black gheto tughba, also comes to mind.... there was this peshawari kebab shop in Thugba, is it still there? those in Pakistani area used to suck....
