What's new

Al-Khalid 2

i think AK 2 will be completley new tank with new design

it will be a diferent for sure.
it is aimed to have the ability to carry extra weapons ie more shells for all its weapon systems! this alone will require the AK II to grow bigger in size. saying that PA will not want it to go into heavy category and therefore it wont be that much BIGGER!!
also it was rumored to have a better auto-loader and the compartment for crew to be better protected, rather insulated from shell storage compartment!
a Active protection system, for which the shorta was a candidate which is now available with AK I, it may be that it is incorporated to AK I not at full production level as yet and is only meant ot be a trail for AK II.
the engine will also grow slightly powerfull with some extre 300HP!

all these upgrades point to an new and slightly bigger design!!

regards!

.
well i am trying to get more information about the upgardes planned for AK II and current status of the system. also i hope we can know from my source about the first prototype roll-out!
but sadly enough, all of us will have to wait for some time to get all hat info,, but surl it will be reliable enough!!

regards!

Arsalan

You are right that there is noting concrete at the moment but af few things are for sure such as the engine and extra weapon carriage capability. I have heard (from someone credible) that it will have a Ukrainian style Bustle autoloader for Nato style Long Rod weapon support.

.
Are we still working with Turkey on tank designs or no?

Please coment

.
No, not as yet!
atleast not in any part which have significant influence on the main battle tank project!

regards!

I have doubts about this project, no export orders as yet for alkhalid, and we don't know what AK-2 is designed to come out with, it seems as if PA is not sure what it is exactly looking for or wants to come up with, someone please shed some light on the questions i have in my mind, plz explain to me what is so special about AK-2 and where is it going to rank in the world of tanks?....

It would be better if you do some reading in the previous pages, it will give you quiet a bit of info in your queries.

To sum in short, AK-2 gonna have a better auto loader either bustle type or the current one in improved performance, hard kill or soft or both APS, powerful engine, added & improved armor, same old hunter-killer capability, laser warning systems, more powerful turret, a more powerful gun, better FCS & night fighting equipment.

Type-99G can be a good comparison. Check the previous pages plzzz.

The simple answer is to ramp up production to meet demand. Simply producing 100 tanks in one year will not benefit the forces but may well hamper expansion something like 500 should be produced per annum.

. .
Anyone provide me some idea about the ECMs to be adobted with our latest tank??

By ECM you mean the APS system on the tank ?? If so, check out the below pics, Shotra has already been shown & rumored to have been installed on the upgraded version of AKs.

For future AK 2 it may either have a hard kill APS or Soft like Shotra or may be a combination of both. My bet would be on a Chinese product, something similar to the Type 99A2, as shown in the below pic, behind one of the turret.

Hi,

Pak armies concern is what the tank can do in the local theatres---world is too big and far away for that.

In order for the factory to produce 500 tanks per annum---you will have to increase the production force at least five times---and five times more machinery----so what are we going to do after 3 years when we have all the tanks we need---that staff and the machinery will go to waste---there are no tank orders from foreign countries---.

Now the same questions arises again---how are we going to integrate 500 new tanks a year in the army---there is just no 'magic wand' that we wave it and wallah---it is done---we need the manpower---training---resource---machinery and spare parts----technical staff to care for the up-keep----.

Did you guys ever see the Lucille Ball show---where she works at a chocolate factory----she gets busy with something else----and the chocolates are getting stacked up----it is the same analogy over here as well.

We will have the tanks---but no crew to man them---yes indeed we are not iraqi army either---but then we don't have open coffers of resources either.

320-600 AKs(if we have) & 320 t-80s i think are enough
to deal with present threat of nos. of t-90 from india

Brothers, Fellows,
In short ,
What is the Main difference between AL Khalid-I & II ?

1. The Pak. military was defeated and allowed the Pak. state to be ripped in two. The performance of the military is not about only the discipline of individual soldiers, it is about whether the military is able to further the aims of the state. In this regard i fail to see the Pak. military having performed much better than the Saudi military.

2. When something is scarce, you take much more care of it. The Pak. military doesnt have many $mil pieces of equipment and therefore they take much greater care of the little they have. I understand that the Saudi military expenditure doesnt give much bang for buck but using

https://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/rankorder/2067rank.html

its shows that Saudi spends around $18b which is around same as Australia. Looking at Australia's capabilties, its not a quantum leap over that of Saudi.

Hey retard remember siege of HOLY KAABA how many ELITE SAUDI COMMANDOES DIED 26plus who came for ur help to flush them out PAKISTANS SSG....And did u ever face I SUPERPOWER and an army 3 times ur size in a land far away from mainland seperated by ur archenemy who is also involved in a war...
