Sometimes i fail to understand the reason. People from pakistan say that it was because hindus and muslims cannot live together and give example of riots which happened 10 years back in India. But having almost equal population of muslims more muslims are being killed in pakistan. if we go by the same theory then muslims cannot muslims themselves. . If there had been no partition with population ratio of 2:1 with hindus and muslims would have made people to avoid riots. At the same time it saved us from many problems

I dont understand these kinds of articles or reports !! What do they accomplish/ what do they achieve ?

Partition has happened -- Its a reality -- more than 50 years has passed -- and worse both nations have fought 3 wars if not more -- alien landing on earth and singing 'Jai ho' has a better probability than achieving something constructive out of these kinds of reports.

An article like this would have made more sense if it came out on 1940's IMO.

Actually it's only North Indian hindus and North Indians Muslims. The identity of Pakistan wasn't religious but political. Elite North Indian muslims was afraid to lose their political clout so they parted. It was moot cause for South Indian muslims.

In theory what you are saying makes sense.......

However, the infighting between Muslims that we see now may have been pushed back as there would have been a common bigger enemy (Hindu majority) to take on.

Also, it may have saved us from some problems, but who knows what problems may have come up....... it is possible that BRITISH INDIA may never have matured as a democracy and have failed completely as a nation resulting in degeneration into much smaller states......... like the Soviet Union.

So, frankly there is no way to know how things would have turned out.

yaa that could have only been successful if we would have followed the path of Turkey of a secular country with a very high muslim population along with our own model. But hell yeah we would have had a great cricket team.
