Russian envoy can be seen here saying that it was 'better to not touch on the issue.'
So, what part of this meeting was a success, or is the Government fooling its people again?
It was a formality.
The govt itself didn't expect much but this had to be done regardless.
Even if we had a first class foreign office, the result of this session would have been the same. The people running those countries are not choosni sucking toddlers, they are well aware of what India is doing in IOK. They choose to stay quiet because of their national interests. The world doesn't care if Kashmiris get slaughtered. Realpoltik is ruthless.
India is influential, we are not.
Those who have trampled the UN resolutions under military boots are let go, while the ones fighting to implement UN resolutions are called terrorists. That is how the world is today.
After Pulwama, India was encouraged by US, France, Germany etc to take action against "terror"(resistance attacking occupying force). When India breached our airspace and dropped bombs, no one condemned India but instead took sides with it. When we retaliated the next day, these so called civilized countries received a kick in their butts.
And we have arastoos who are too concerned about Pakistan's image as a "responsible" state. As if anyone out there gives dogshit about our image. We should have played the Afghan card but we didn't, or perhaps were too concerned about our image as a peacemaker.
Now, we have the responsibility as Pakistanis to provide material support to freedom fighters fighting for Pakistan inside occupied Kashmir against our enemy.
