Currently, there is a summer exercise going on (Al Buraq II ). :pakistan:

Here are a few pictures:

That sniper is actually a very good sniper, and seems to have become part of Pak Army. I dont remember the name, sorry.

Hi,

Most of the sniper rifles are high quality hunting rifles. Seems like this sniper is your regular platoon level sniper---doesnot look like your specialist independent sniper. Why does the rifle have a foresight?

The general is a south paw.

Good pictures webby. Thankyou.

.
It seems a normal commercial rifle with a telescope. The ones you use for hunting deers in NZ.

Regards

^ You sure? Its clearly looks like a sniper to me.

Another picture.

Mastan,

The snipers in all of the PA are specialists but belong to infantry battalions. His tasking includes what is typically the job of a regular sniper elsewhere.
Why does the rifle have a foresight?

Its an older design (first introduced in 1969). But the rifle remains one of the best sniper rifles around. I am sure even in the PA service it will be replaced or augmented by another type eventually.

It is not. It is a well-proven sub 0.5 MoA military sniper rifle in use by the Austrian Army as well as the armies of Pakistan, Iceland, Ireland, Singapore and The Netherlands. The rifle comes with a black Kahles SF69 scope. You have the option of getting it painted in appropriate colors but in the case of PA, they have purchased them in the original colors. Usually the rifles are concealed in camouflage sleeves (made for both the rifle and the scope to conceal the original color) as in the picture of this PA sniper:
