Well well well... the Good Ol' USA and their 'legendary' Airport security. That is not 1, not 2 but 11 (Eleven) handguns for Heaven's sake!

This question needs to be raised. How the hell did he manage to bypass the magnetometer with 11 handguns and 200 odd rounds of ammo.

.
Like underwear-bomber was reportedly escorted by a well-suited man who talked to security & helped bomber board the plane,,, no wonder this guy was "helped" the same way...

FOX news would be dead silent on this.........

Only if the guy would have gone from Pakistan to USA would it show up on their news.....what a can of whoop-*** America is!

.
Now Pakistani Authorities should ask the CIA or their civil aviation authority abt this.
Now is the time to hit them back .How in this damn world is it possible to carry 11 pistol with u on aircraft.
American official should be sued for the negligence they have shown.

. .
US security checks are more stringent on the way into the USA then outboard travel. Still it is failure of the systems, that a person could travel with a so many guns and ammunition.

This guy might be trying to sell the branded guns in the blackmarket and make some quick money.

.
guys he might be being framed!!!! in south asia police and cops can frame you!!! i have seen alot of 90's BOLLYWOOD MOVIES to know this!!

11 Pistols. WTF. Did the TSA not check his bags? They give me a very special treatment everytime I come.

At least our ASF and Customs guys caught him. Monetary prizes and commendation certificates should be given to the personnel. Good job !

I go back home every 6 months. I don't get any special treatment, but as sad as the fact that Americans are so naive, their current security system is just too risky. You can walk inside the Terminals freely right up to the security checkpoint before the gates.....yikes!

Thats not about making some quick money i think its a CIA coverd operation on some special target in Pakistan.

OR even he might be simple person and some CIA agent put these damn arms in bags......

Good work by Pakistanies :yahoo:

now where is jews media ????????

Arms stuff is almost always done through freight. Nobody carries 11 guns for blackmarket deals in his baggage.

1. Trying to hijack - attempt not successful -unlikely since long flight would have given him the chance

2. Smuggling guns for blackmarket deal - still unlikely

3. Bringing in guns for a mission - unlikely since you can get guns in Pakistan very easily

Don't know what's the likely scenario then.

Traveling with Special Items: Firearms & Ammunition
You may only transport firearms, ammunition and firearm parts in your checked baggage. Firearms, ammunition and firearm parts are prohibited from carry-on baggage.

There are certain limited exceptions for law enforcement officers who may fly armed by meeting the requirements of Title 49 CFR § 1544.219. Law enforcement officers should read our policies on traveling with guns.

The key regulatory requirements to transporting firearms, firearm parts or ammunition in checked baggage are:

  • You must declare all firearms to the airline during the ticket counter check-in process.
  • The firearm must be unloaded.
  • The firearm must be in a hard-sided container.
  • The container must be locked. A locked container is defined as one that completely secures the firearm from access by anyone other than you. Cases that can be pulled open with little effort do not meet this criterion. The pictures provided here illustrate the difference between a properly packaged and an improperly packaged firearm.
  • We recommend that you provide the key or combination to the security officer if he or she needs to open the container. You should remain in the area designated by the aircraft operator or TSA representative to take the key back after the container is cleared for transportation. If you are not present and the security officer must open the container, we or the airline will make a reasonable attempt to contact you. If we can't contact you, the container will not be placed on the plane. Federal regulations prohibit unlocked gun cases (or cases with broken locks) on aircraft.
  • You must securely pack any ammunition in fiber (such as cardboard), wood or metal boxes or other packaging that is specifically designed to carry small amounts of ammunition.
  • You can't use firearm magazines/clips for packing ammunition unless they completely and securely enclose the ammunition (e.g., by securely covering the exposed portions of the magazine or by securely placing the magazine in a pouch, holder, holster or lanyard).
  • You may carry the ammunition in the same hard-sided case as the firearm, as long as you pack it as described above.
  • You can't bring black powder or percussion caps used with black-powder type firearms in either your carry-on or checked baggage.

We and other authorities strictly enforce these regulations. Violations can result in criminal prosecution and civil penalties of up to $10,000 per violation.

Airlines may have their own additional requirements on the carriage of firearms and the amount of ammunition that you may have in your checked baggage. Therefore, travelers should also contact the airline regarding its firearm and ammunition carriage policies.

Also, please note that many other countries have different laws that address transportation and possession of firearms. If you are traveling internationally, please check with the authorities at your destination about their requirements.

That is the list of requirements posted on the TSA website wrt carrying firearms. Now the question is whether that man had declared the weapons at check-in and does he possess proper documents for the cargo.

The repost apparently says that the firearms and ammunition were apparently separate, the pistols were not loaded. So there is no offense there.

Geez. You people are making such a hue and cry about 11 handguns, which for all purposes may be legal. That guys isnt going to wage a war with 11 pistols now, is he?

Bollocks!

The security gates are way far from boarding gates. Dont mislead people here. Many airports have security gates right at the entrance, while smaller airports have them a little inside, but still way far from boarding gates.
