Technically if shares has no voting rights, it should not be called shares. (at least in India)
That's just a matter of what kind of shares you can get. The main idea of share is, to invest in the company and financially gain from it's success, not to have voting rights or change the policy of the company.
Does French govt. hold any stakes in Dassult? Are they up for a hostile take over?
Tejas , means with aura, in urdu it means noor.Don't know exactly, i guess its sanskrit word, maybe give some kind of boost as Indian often do mantra of this.
This would screw the IAF over completely. It would cripple them to have to fly and maintain even more of the notoriously maintenance intensive MKI and you think the LCA (even Mk.2) is a credible deterrent when the PLAAF are developing two "5th gen" fighters??Cancel it! Now I am against MMRCA.
Just get more modernized MKIs and Tejas jets.
Screw this jet. It is not like we will be fighting the USAF anytime soon.
The problem can be corrected by buying fighter's like mig-35 offself or othersThis would screw the IAF over completely. The Rafale/MMRCA is the only way to go anything different and there is a massive hole in the IAF's capabilities that won't be plugged for at least 15 years.
$20 BN is a nonsense figure dreamed up by the Indian media. Anyway 50% of the cost of the deal will be ploughed back into India and will transform the Indian aerospace industry- this keeps getting overlooked. Instead of curtailing the AMCA the Rafale deal will give that project a major boost! The problem can be corrected by buying fighter's like mig-35 offself or others
Rafale orders will start coming from 2018-19 by the time we induct 1 LCA squadrons
I don't thing Rafale is adding
More to IaF capacity except A2G role for mind busting amount of 20 billions $ which stupendous
And can halt ambitious project like AMCA
As for Fifth generation it's full full every needs of the IAF of next generation fighter.

Look I'm fan of Rafale but if it's comes in suitable price which a country like India can afford and that don't affect our future projects$20 BN is a nonsense figure dreamed up by the Indian media. As for the FGFA, it is not the silver bullet. It is an awesome machine but it won't solve all of the IAF's woes and will need to be complemented by something like the Rafale until the AMCA is up to speed (isn't going to happen anytime soon).
So you saying we pay billions of $ just to get A2G capabilities better take Saab deal thenWhen FGFA fulfils every need of IAF wrt NG fighters, why do we need AMCA? And if we don't need AMCA, Rafale / MMRCA wouldn't effect the AMCA project either, since it's not needed in the first place!
So you saying we pay billions of $ just to get A2G capabilities better take Saab deal then
It's cost effective & better.
Cancel it! Now I am against MMRCA.

No, we are paying billions for one of the best 4.5th gen fighters available today not only beyond 2019 like the Gripen (with capabilities being reduced every year) or the AMCA beyond 2027 accroding DRDO officials, a good ToT and offset package, which is complying to our high demands and therefor will be a huge input for our industry, .
If you want a capable fighter and industrial advantages today MMRCA is the only option and the only suitable choices to our requirments are Rafale and EF.
We already 4.5 gen fighter in our Inventory which Suitable to Meets our Demands Today As well as future with Upgrades. MMrca Delivery Date are Far beyond Timelines which 2018-19 Buy then we have A squardons of LCA Mk1 And Lca mk2 will be in Prototype Phase Better if we Involve Saab in its Development .No, we are paying billions for one of the best 4.5th gen fighters available today not only beyond 2019
Not Better Package than FGFA which is a Better Industrial Package compared to MMrca Plus its generation Ahead than Both EF & Rafale if your Not Fan-boy of Western Fetish.a good ToT and offset package, which is complying to our high demands and therefor will be a huge input for our industry,
