At least they are running the entire system smoothly. Entire competency of PIA was revealed in recent fake degree and licencing fiasco so which other person would you choose to run PIA. At least current CEO is improving PIA and micro level and we have seen more revenue as well. Heck we even tried a German CEO who took one of the PIA planes and tried to sell it off. The reality of the matter is that sab pakistaniyon ka sirf danda peer hai.

Also the minister told about 262 fake pilots while only 18 are dismissed where are rest??

First of all figures you are reporting about sacked pilots are completely wrong. Over 150 pilot have been sacked so far. Just yesterday 7 more were sacked so you should realize now the gravity of the situation.

Second point they have long way to go in term of turning PIA into a profitable entity. For now they reduced deficit from 32 billion to 29 billion. Keep in mind that in many years this is the first time PIA deficit has shrunk.

There is no magic wand which can give you a profitable institution over night which has been in decline for better part of last decade.
Revenue of PIA increased from 103 billion 2018 to 147.5 billion in year 2019. PIA generates lot of revenue so they just have to cut the loss making routes and get rid of extra useless political appointments and fake degree and licence holders.

No doubt losses are accruing but step taken by current management are in positive direction. No one should expect miracles and keep a realistic approach.

As for Covid the impact of virus will be seen in our next years performance report considering PIA planes have been grounded for better part of the year now. Several Airlines across the globe have shut down and declared bankruptcy so please consider global impact as well as we dont have magicians with magic wands in Pakistan.

The reason military officers are running the show is because the civilians failed. PMLN had absolute majority....didn’t do a thing with PIA other than continue the dysfunction. At least there is some informed, well spoken and educated leadership now. SOmething that was run into the ground over 30 years will not be fixed in 5 years.
