There’s a PAF airbase marked south runway 10R
Is this going to be an entirely new airbase or is it the future site of PAF base Nur Khan ?

What I am hearing is after inauguration of new Air Port old one will be given to PAF and they will have a base there

PAF is already operating at Nur Khan though someone here said PAFs Transport wing will be shifted to Karachi.. @fatman17 u said that...right?

Sir they already have Base there which is PAF Base Nurkhan.

Come on guys, this is just a regular hanger. Will be used for maintenance work for all we know! If it is being made by PAF (and if that is what someone have claimed) even then it wont be a full operational base and more like an infrastructure facility to support aircraft if in case PAF station some assets there for some time.

Aviation secretary confirmed that formal inauguration has been moved from April 23 to May 1 without clearly spelling out the reason for the postponement. However he insisted that airport would become functional on April 20 as per the original plan.

Pakistan Air Force (PAF) is constructing pens to station planes for wartime but he denied that any offices are being handed over to PAF at the new airport. According to sources, the Greenfield facility like the new airport is usually not used for dual purposes so initially there was no plan to accommodate PAF at the airport. But later the PAF facilities were also added.

So at most there will be a flight i.e satellite base which means only a Flight Lieutenant being there along with 50 men.
