Airbase at Islamabad International Airport

According to the latest Navigational Charts of (new) Islamabad International Airport published by the CAA.
There’s a PAF airbase marked south runway 10R
Is this going to be an entirely new airbase or is it the future site of PAF base Nur Khan ?

I do not think it is a full fledged operation base and that role will be performed by PAF Nur Khan-Chaklala for now.
What these CAA charts show is more like a hanger in place, JUST IN CASE it is to be used by PAF. Not an operational base as far as i can see!

As a civilian, Nur Khan Airbase not in an ideal place and moving it with the new airport would enable the PAF to have a brand new base without spending much on runways, roads and other infrastructure.

Singapore Changi Airport also hosts two airbases for the RSAF

Just a ramp for PAF aircrafts to hold/stop after landing.

PAF transport aircrafts land and operate at all civil airports and usually have separate holding area.They even have their own officers at ATC and ground support at airports thus not paying any service charges to CAA.

Pretty much every civilian airport has a portion for paf where a flight of aircraft hardened hanger and facility to use the airfield exists which can be used when needed does not mean its paf base but facility within civilian airport good example sheikh Nayan airport at Rahim yarkhan check all other civilian airports mostly in eastern side

All CAA air ports are designed to be used as military bases in case of need ,Lahore Air port is famous for scramble during 2007/2008 stand off with India .F7 PG

It has Spada sqn's flight over there. Sqn Hq is some where else althought its just 12 km away from chaklala.

Dear we have like 5-6 Sqns of Spada and If I am not wrong as of now Crotales are on western borders along with mistrals .

Spada is used by PAF and not army.
