WTF I am surprised. All air forces around the world have very few AWACs.

Airforces:

U.S = 30-60
Russia = 16
Taiwan = 6
Egypt = 6
Australia = 6
Sweden = 6
Brazil = 5
Israel = 5
Saudi Arabia = 5
Pakistan = 4 + 4 (Eriye + ZDK-03) = 8
China = 4
France = 4
Turkey = 4
Singapore = 4
India = 3 + 3 (Phalcon + DRDO) = 6

Clearly there will be some things a pilot won't always see and the crew in the awacs will be there to point out...
You might get a greater range of radar too...

India is Inducting a total of 6 Phalcon Awacs and 24 Drdo Awacs

The PHALCON AWACS (the most advanced AWACS on the earth) fleet will soon be 6 in IAF service (ith a further 3 on option) and the IAF has already stated they are to induct 25+ DRDO AWACS not to mention the IAF is seriously interested (and likely to procure) the Boeing 737 AWACS and the IN has 8 Ka-31 AWACS In service with 8 more on order and is likely to procure either the V-22 AWACS or E-2D AWACS within the next 3 years (depending on what configuration future IN ACCs are).

Singapore operate also Phalcon, soon to be Italy as well
