A Chinese airline has reportedly warned passengers that "precautions" should be taken when visiting areas in London mainly populated by "Indians, Pakistanis and black people".

A Chinese airline has reportedly warned passengers that "precautions" should be taken when visiting areas in London mainly populated by "Indians, Pakistanis and black people".

Air China included the comments as part of a feature in its in-flight magazine on visiting the city.

It also advised tourists not to go out alone at night, and for females to always be accompanied when travelling.

A London MP has written to the Chinese ambassador to the UK for an apology.

The comments were noticed by Beijing-based producer Haze Fan from US news channel CNBC.

They were published in its monthly Wings Of China magazine and read: "London is generally a safe place to travel, however precautions are needed when entering areas mainly populated by Indians, Pakistanis and black people.

"We advise tourists not to go out alone at night, and females always to be accompanied by another person when travelling."

The airline operates two flights per day from Beijing to London Heathrow
Air China has not commented on the article.

I would actually tell them to avoid any euro Muslims area.
Cuz they messed up in the head, bro.

Loool interesting. Will be good to see some people here who agree/support this. Since it's coming from a non western country.
I will refrain from making any comments until then. :partay:

China is an atheist country. Chinese don't like to mingle with muslims. With Pakistan their relation is just a strategic and business one. Other than that we don't have any thing in common. I have personally seen chinese people avoiding us in London. First i thought they might be scared of us but i thought we are best neighbors we should interact, later the above mentioned mentality was seen. I was kinda sad to find out the reality. London is a multicultural place. Every one interact with each other. Its a place where an indian will be a best friend of pakistani instead of other indian guy.

Eventually China-Pakistan relationship will go the way India-Russia relationship

What do you have in common with Chinese ??
They are racially different, completely different language, different food, aetheist religion and different outlook to life. Hey they are not bad.

Pakistan's future is to balance relationships with Iran/Turkey/Central Asia & India

When I've got some spare time, I'll try to go to in depth and post statistics to back up how farcical I believe the claims are after having just a brief look into the rate of crime figures committed in London by 'Asians' esp Pakistanis given their low population[constitute just under 3% of Londons overall pop] and are even a minority within those areas.

However, what I find laughable is the outrage from certain groups over Air China's views esp American and Indians who have massive race/caste related problems within their own respective countries.

My main reason for posting is that for whatever reason, fairly or unfairly, that's the image Pakistanis and British Pakistanis in particular have perceived to have created. What most important is that instead of adopting a juvenile victim complex, we should work hard to remove that image. It wasn't that long ago time were the Far-East Asians were seen in a similar light.

That way Pakistan has very little in common with any country. If Pakistan was to adopt a relationship based on a playground approach then Pakistan would be well and truly fucked.

As someone of Pakistani origin, I've had more meaningful relationships with Brits of Chinese origin than any other Asian immigrant community in Britain. If the Chinese are anything like those who I've met here in Britain then Pakistanis can be assured that they'll be meeting and befriending some of the most genuine people they'll ever have the chance of meeting. On a personal note, I get along with them way more than people from those nationalities/regions you've listed.

I have friendships with Chinese living in North America - nice people, hard working, family oriented
the divide over diet, language, culture is too large to bridge for group to group interaction. as individual to individual you can manage those differences

replace pakistani & chinese with other groups ... you will find group to group interactions are challenging
