I don't know if this is the correct section or not but still posting what Ahsan Iqbal policy statement on CPEC in Parliament Today

Policy Statement:-

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal on Monday informed the National Assembly that all reservations of the political leadership on China Pakistan Economic Corridor -CPEC will be addressed.

In a policy statement, he said that the #CPEC is a national project and all the provinces would reap its benefits.

“The federal government cannot think of discrimination against any province,” he said, adding that suggestions to make the project more viable would be welcomed.

The minister said that federal government would fulfill all the commitments made at All Parties Conference (APC) in May, 2015, and would build Western route, passing through backward areas of KP and Balochistan on priority basis.

He said that the federal government firmly believes that #CPEC has given Pakistan historic opportunity to develop backward areas socially and economically.

China-Pakistan Economic Corridor was a great gift for Pakistan’s rapid progress and hoped the project would be a game-changer, he added.

The minister said that out of total 46 billion dollars, 38 billion dollars would be invested in power sector through private investors and private sector would have to get return on its investment.

The remaining six billion dollars would be a concessional financing from Chinese government for the projects of infrastructure.

The minister said being a time-tested friend, China had taken a decision of huge investment in Pakistan at a time when the local investors were hesitating to invest in the country.

The minister said the #CPEC had changed the world’s perception regarding Pakistan. He advised the political leadership to avoid comments on the #CPEC project in public as opponents would take benefit from it.

He said that reservations if any should be raised in the Parliament committee constituted on the CPEC project. He said that the #CPEC project will make Pakistan’s economy impregnable.

He urged the national leadership to support the project.

The minister said that the #CPEC project is not only beneficial for Pakistan but for the whole region. He said that he would visit KhyberPakhtunkhwa on January 6 to remove the reservations of the provincial leadership.

He regretted that an NGO in its presentation indicated that Lahore, Rawalpindi and Multan metro bus and Orange Railway projects are being constructed under CPEC project. He said, “this is totally baseles. (APP)

.
Isn't they were doing dance show in Islamabad when government request to postpone dharna till Chinese delegation go back?

Isn't they accuse CPEC is a loan rather than investment?

Isn't when kpk cm was asked to go to China for agreements, he prefer to put his dhomka sessions as his top priority?

Isn't they are still accusing federal government on corruption under CPEC carpet?

Than why the hell they are crying when all four provinces are enjoying the progress and kpk is being left behind due to the stupidest leadership of KPK?

. . .
I think this might end up same way as USSR-NorthKorea ended...

Chinese stock market shut down today after reaching its limit of -7% per day on really bad manufacturing data...

BS

. . .
biggest lies ever told...

out of 45 billion, Balochistan gets 1.21 billion and KPK gets 2.72 billion. How does this make "#CPEC is a national project and all the provinces would reap its benefits" ?

The so called western route is a lie as well. Chinease state media has shown eastern route as the only route. All the projects on the so called western route are those which already existed in the PSDP. Calling pre-existing projects as 'western route' is hypocrisy at best.

Well i think and as we can see in the picture there are mostly mostly power Projects in CPEC weather it's coal wind Nuclear thermal dams etc etc which costs more then 30 billion dollars alone ... Once completed the electricity will go in the National grid and then distributed among Provinces according to the needs like Punjab and KPK already giving it's share to Karachi Industrial areas ... now why they are not making any power plant in Baluchistan cause of the risk of insurgency there and main reason Pakistan is making a force of 35000 personals to protect Gwadar and other parts of the project

now Coming on Road yes the gov is building 2 lane road and upgrading the existing one so that Gwadar can be connected to various cities and 2 lane road cause the traffic inflow is quiet low in Balochistan if increased the road wil be upgraded like Karachi Hyderabad road is being upgraded to Motorway

now Railway these are the railway tracks which will be upgraded or constructed in balochistan under CPEC upgrading of Station Quetta is included like other main cities stations

1. to say that the electricity will go to the national grid is bad economics. What about impact of billion dollars of investment? Employment, skills, technology?

2. Upgrading existing network according to previous plans cannot be called 'western route.' More importantly, all this 'upgradation' was already going on. You can check the PSDP documents on the PC website. Calling old projects as CPEC projects is deception.

3. You really believe federal government will build 27 SEZs? This is like 1000s of other projects which have already been approved by current and past governments but will never be initiated. Just show me where is the funding allocation for these 27 SEZs in the PSDP?

I have given you numbers: "Balochistan gets 1.21 billion and KPK gets 2.72 billion." If you want to prove me wrong, give me your numbers.
