Ahsan Iqbal demands apology from Imran over Chinese assistance remarks

Chinese president visits to pakistan was definitely on. he suppose to visits india pakistan and sri lanka. otherwise what thsie security team was doing in pakistan ? it was just a face saver for the current govt. you know the truth, don't deny it.
There was no date finalized, Nor any cancellation as confirmed by Chinese foreign minister but our politicians blamed opposition party PTI for cancellation.... Visit is not cancelled.

Keyword: Official.

Now are you saying Nawaz is so powerful that he can make make changes to China's foreign policy? Please don't say they were also involved in dhandli.

If you look closely, you'll see mid-september.

Also post-poned = cancel. China president is busy guy. He can't just come next month or after a few weeks when dharna ends. They've to look up security, ensure both sides delegation are free etc.

The wording in diplomatic world is very weird. For example, let's say iPhone 6 is cancelled. That means, it'd never be made. But if it's post poned, it'd be made let's say next month.
Now if a class gets cancelled, it's temporarily. You don't say class is post poned because teacher is sick.

These are different scenarios. You can think of more. That's why two different statements are contrasting if you look at them differently. But both agree that Chinese president was supposed to come, if you assume it was unofficial then. Nonetheless, PTI has to take blame for the mess. No excuses such as it wasn't official or it's only post poned. Same lame excuse like PTV was only off air for 15 mins.

Indeed, for one, there was nothing ANNOUNCED, so nothing cancelled.

But that doesn't mean there WASN'T a visit in the works, merely that visit groundwork ended due to the security situation before it could be finalised.

Here some further clarification by Chinese FM on this:

Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Qin Gang's Remarks on the Postponement of President Xi Jinping's Visit to Pakistan

Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Qin Gang's Remarks on the Postponement of President Xi Jinping's Visit to Pakistan

2014/09/06

Q: It is reported that the Pakistani side announced that President Xi Jinping's visit to Pakistan has been postponed. Please confirm that.

A: China and Pakistan have been maintaining communication for some time on President's Xi Jinping's state visit to Pakistan in mid September, and have made productive preparation for this visit. In view of the current political situation in Pakistan, the Governments of China and Pakistan have mutually agreed to postponement of the state visit of President Xi Jinping to Pakistan, which was scheduled to take place later this month. New dates for President Xi Jinping's visit to Pakistan, at an early date, are being finalized through diplomatic channels.

Both countries underline that China and Pakistan are time-tested all-weather friends. Both sides attach high importance to the visit of President Xi Jinping to Pakistan, as early as possible, for promoting mutually beneficial cooperation between the two.
