The future of MQM seems bleak. The biggest issue with Pakistani politics is that everybody talks about "Maroosi siyasat" and yet nobody works to rectify it.

In any democratic country in the world, you will see change of faces after every 5-10 years but in Pakistan

PPP: Bhutto's
PTI: Imran Khan
MQM: Altaf Hussain
ANP: Wali Khan family

is the leader of their political party since 1990s. Since then UK for example has seen 3-5 change of faces of Leadership in every political party. If Altaf Hussain had resigned 5-10 years ago or even now, if he chooses to dethrone from the leadership of MQM, it will be a very good decision for the party and lead to the survival of MQM.

Most of the allegations made against MQM are more than 10 years old so imagine if he had resigned and couple of fresh faces had evolved, this matter would not have been taken so seriously. Heck their entire leadership is same as my childhood days

I think one of the reasons why hereditory politics works is because it keeps the parties intact. In any political party there are always groups/individuals jostling for power and the hereditory serves to bind them all. I think this is an issue all political parties in 3rd world face, since many are not mature democracies.

The obvious answer to that is: she is desperate and is trying to get some global agency attention...may be she thought Indian embassy will take it to the UN...who knows? May be she thought by copying the CJ of Pakistan she is ensuring against exactly the kind of allegation you are trying to manufacture!

There is no conspiracy theory here, the letter is genuine, nobody has denied it. Unless you have any proof that indicates otherwise, you are the conspiracy theorist.

As for Ahmad Quraishi, you know he's doing something right when all the Indians hate him.

Then why send it to the Indians? Why are the Indians being sent the same letters about our internal matters as our Prime Minister and Army Chief? It was enough to send it to the CJP, COAS and PM. 99.9% of party members are civilised patriotic Pakistanis so how can you give such a hate-filled suggestion? The problem is not with the party workers, it is the doubtful acts of notorious leadership that has led to issues and if proven guilty, they can simply be arrested and trial in the court of Law in both UK and Pakistan.

The majority is never aware of the wrong doings of their leadership so they always remain blind folded assuming it as mere allegation until proven guilty. Trust me if the leadership of MQM was arrested and the fair trial proved them guilty, the majority of MQM workers would not even spit on their faces and turn their back on them.

MQM isnt like Typical National Parties that exist in Punjab heavily Rely upon Electables and Notables they are Most Organized Platform that Rely on Workers from Top to Bottom and that is what makes them more Resilient and more Strongly United as well so dealing with MQM is not that easily its not like if we curb out few Leaders and MQM would collapse they would be replaced by new ones as people Vote MQM not Farooq Sattar or Haider Abbas.
All Muhajir doesnt Support MQM that is true but Vast Majority of them based in Karachi does and Rely on them on even Daily basis even especially when they have Complaints lets say Electricity, Gas, Water, Telephone, Internet, Cable etc when complains are not resolved on time. so things run quite deeper then what non Karachiite thinks it is.
