The future of MQM seems bleak. The biggest issue with Pakistani politics is that everybody talks about "Maroosi siyasat" and yet nobody works to rectify it.

In any democratic country in the world, you will see change of faces after every 5-10 years but in Pakistan

is the leader of their political party since 1990s. Since then UK for example has seen 3-5 change of faces of Leadership in every political party. If Altaf Hussain had resigned 5-10 years ago or even now, if he chooses to dethrone from the leadership of MQM, it will be a very good decision for the party and lead to the survival of MQM.

Most of the allegations made against MQM are more than 10 years old so imagine if he had resigned and couple of fresh faces had evolved, this matter would not have been taken so seriously. Heck their entire leadership is same as my childhood days

Wow, terrorists asking other terrorists for help. I thought these MQM guys been killing innocent civilians in Karachi for the past few decades and have support from different Indian intelligence to destabilize Pakistan and conduct terrorism?

This letter is like US political parties asking the Chinese to intervene in our internal political system and that would be a straight up treason.

I don't know what the government of Pakistan is waiting on, they should immediately log Treason cases against the leadership of MQM and whoever is involved and try them in the Supreme Court!! This is VERY serious business and action should be taken as such!

Zardari's statements about ''hum ne to hamesha rehna hai'' (we will be here forever) are even more distubing when seen in this context. The level of hubris and arrogance in some of them is astounding.

That would be a big mistake. This is what they want and we should not walk into that trap. Better solution is to isolate patriotic elements with unpatriotic ones first. Once the support of blinded followers is removed, you can go ahead and bring traitors to justice. Slow and focused is the name of the game here. The problem is not with the party workers, it is the doubtful acts of notorious leadership that has led to issues and if proven guilty, they can simply be arrested and trial in the court of Law in both UK and Pakistan.

The majority is never aware of the wrong doings of their leadership so they always remain blind folded assuming it as mere allegation until proven guilty. Trust me if the leadership of MQM was arrested and the fair trial proved them guilty, the majority of MQM workers would not even spit on their faces and turn their back on them.

I'm sure no country on this earth will tolerate any party like Mqm,we have seen many operations against Mqm in last 25 years but still nothing on the ground why they are still operating in our country!! I'm sure our authorities have a lot of evidence against MQM but no action & I don't know why the hell musharaf speak in favour of Mqm & in 90s Nawaz also declared Altaf a gr8 leader, I'm sure nawaz govt will not do anything against this mentally ill person..
• Many times I heard that Mqm supporters are educated and obviously their strong base is Karachi but I don't know why these educated folks support this person,their supporters are well aware that UK police recovered a lot of money from altaf house & I'm sure their supporters also know that altaf use to give life threatening speeches against his opponents before coming to Karachi, and not long ago he used the same language against our armed forces and altaf speechs against Pakistan in 90s is not hidden nor his recent speeches & now this letter to Indian embassy, I'm wondering how many evidences these workers need to finally back off from this party ??

Oh please, no country tolerates such kind of behavior but us. Why the heck is she writing to an Indian envoy for, who is he? Other than allowing India to comment on Pakistans internal matter. And she is heading the committee on Human rights, these bloody MQMers should be kicked out of parliament.
Let us not be scared of what will happen if MQM is banned, the party will eventually die its miserable death once the money in London is jailed in UK. There are political parties who can fill the so called vacuum created by these terrorists.
