Ahmed Noorani is at it again. This time around calling JIT report laughable on account of the "word" of Sharif family.

I am Just giving an example of how he twists events in his favour by calling it investigative journalism.

I quote from Mr. Norani's own piece:

"that neither Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has any single share in this company FZE Capital nor he ever received salary from this company.

“If any salary is ever transferred to the account of the prime minister from this company, the Sharif family must be penalised of it,”

" but Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif never held any share nor ever received any salary and he was appointed chairman of the company simply for facilitation of visa and visits to UAE in 2006 and the company was dissolved in 2014".


"The JAFZA letter mentioned the salary etc from the some appointment letter containing routine draft."

"Sharif family insists"

"that no salary was ever taken by the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif from the company and JIT proofs in this behalf are simply trash or are result of some misunderstanding."

"The Sharif family sources state"

"that there is no need to declare in assets the fact that one is chairman of company if he is not the shareholder and not taking any financial benefit from the company."

Wow! Such a beautiful, masterful and professional piece of investigative journalism by Mr. Contempt of court... Mr. I am sorry... called Mr. Ahmed Norani of The News investigative journalism cell.

Nothing but sharif family claims this and that and you call it investigative journalism par excellance?

The case was about date of ownership of Property and ownership of offshore companies by Ruling family and providing money trail of admitted ownership of the same.

The journalist talks, just like PMLN and even PPP leaders of the past, about something that was not the target of this investigation in the first place i.e public fund embezzlement.

Public fund embezzlement is some thing that usually gets proven case by case once a Govt. rule ends and uncompromising accountability starts , just like we see with Sarkozi of France.

The aim of these master pieces of investigative journalism is to help their sponsors in keeping the masses in doubt and supporters appeased.

here you go again...hurling insults when someone came with a counter narrative. what is wrong with you? we come here to learn not to humiliate others and certainly not to get humiliated either. Mr Ahmed Noorani made a mistake which was followed by an apology by him and the editor as well. That is more character than most of the media houses combined. Obviously he didnt make up that story. He was surely tipped off but got stabbed in the back when the actual report came out. All part of being an investigative journalist.

Mr Ahmed Noorani made a mistake which was followed by an apology by him and the editor as well.

Nope it was a calculated move by that media house to malign the army and score some brownie points with the anti army hawks in PMLN(and get few more billions on the sidelines in form of govt ads )

Obviously he didnt make up that story.

Conspiracies dont work like this. This was an honest mistake and was duly corrected the very next day. By the looks of it, it was a conspiracy against them. Inform them and then malign them later for publishing a false story.

Getting Advertisements is just business. That's their life line. So cant be blamed for it. Siding with the Govt at this stage, na that's not on the cards. but then its politics, no one can predict for sure so keeping a little balance is in their interest
