متحدہ قومی موومنٹ کی رابطہ کمیٹی نے پنجاب کے شہر ربوہ میں شہریوں کورضاکارانہ طورپرعلاج معالجہ فراہم کرنے کیلئے امریکہ سے آنے والے پاکستانی نژاد ڈاکٹر مہدی علی کے قتل کی سخت مذمت کی ہے ۔ رابطہ کمیٹی نے کہا کہ پاکستان کے آئین کے تحت تمام مذاہب اورمسالک سے تعلق رکھنے والے افراد کو جان و مال کی ضمانت حاصل ہے اور کسی کو بھی عقائدکے اختلاف کی بنیاد پر زندگی سے محروم کردینا کسی بھی طر ح درست اور جائز قرا ر نہیں دیا جاسکتا ۔ انہوں نے ڈاکٹر مہدی علی کے لواحقین دلی تعزیت و ہمدردی او ر ہمدردی کا اظہار کیااور صدر ممنون حسین ، وفاقی وزیر داخلہ چوہدری نثار ، گورنر پنجاب چوہدری محمد سروراوروزیر اعلیٰ پنجاب میاں محمد شہباز شریف سے مطالبہ کیا ہے ڈاکٹر مہدی علی کے قاتلوں کو فوری گرفتار کرکے قانون کے مطابق سزا دی جائے ۔

That's true. Ahmadis are a non violent community. They don't advocate violence against anyone. It's a miracle that a large Ahmadi community still exists in Qadian today.

During partition, The Ahmadiyya community in Qadian not only protected the local Ahmadis but anyone who sought refuge there, the irony is, a lot of non Ahmadi muslims from nearby villages also took refuge there as the Ahmadiyya community formulated a defensive militia. Before it was decided to relocate to Pakistan, then only 313 Ahmadis remained behind who guarded the communities' properties.

On another note, the handling of partition was a huge blunder as no one thought of providing adequate safety before all hell broke lose. All the political leaders and the British government are to blame for the violence that happened. We hold no grudges against any community.

I have been to the Ahmadi area of Qadian. It's a very well organised and clean area. No litter any where to be found. Overall, the conduct of Ahmadis is praiseworthy. They are kind, tolerant and religious.

The Ahmadis hold a yearly Jalsa in december. Ahmadis from all over the world come there. It has been good for the local business and it has also boosted the property value of that area.
