I understand your point of view. China and India have tried to defuse tension that springs up in the media time and again. This shows the maturity on both sides.

A conflict with China that escalates to a full war is unlikely for many reasons. China is a global power but India if cornered can deliver something to one of its cities. This is a good reason for China to resolve all outstanding disputes with India and for India to follow. India has a lot to learn from China in terms of its manufacturing capabilities. Given that the stakes are high for both India and China, it is rational to think that good sense will prevail.

India cannot match Chinese capabilities in the coming decade and is playing catch up in all spheres except English and software outsourcing. China is also aware of Indian competition as India has won a few contests that in the past had China written all over it.

A small advice to everyone who expects a war ... Get real.
