Agni-5 to fly halfway to Antarctica

Point of 5000 Km from wheeler islands lies on 22.20 degree latitude (2.5 degree to Tropic of Capricorn) far away from southern tips of Africa and Australia.

Indian warmonger may accelerate further counter military preparations in Asia. Threat for global peace.
International community should take proper step against Indian arm race.

when india fires missile it is warmongering, when pakistan, china fires it is peace lol
be happy with your missile which will hit your own land :P

The Antarctic Treaty and related agreements, collectively called the Antarctic Treaty System or ATS, regulate international relations with respect to Antarctica, Earth's only continent without a native human population. For the purposes of the treaty system, Antarctica is defined as all of the land and ice shelves south of 60°S latitude. The treaty, entering into force in 1961 and currently has 48 signatory nations, sets aside Antarctica as a scientific preserve, establishes freedom of scientific investigation and bans military activity on that continent. The treaty was the first arms control agreement established during the Cold War. The Antarctic Treaty Secretariat headquarters have been located in Buenos Aires, Argentina, since September 2004

It says half way to Antarctica, somwhere in the southern Indian ocean.

This missile will be sending shivers down the spine of China !!!

Ok China has the range to hit any place in India with the range of its missiles , now its India's turn to tell china that we can do the same !!!

Pakistan need not worry this is not a weapon intended to be used against them !!!

.
let it fly first then make big sounding statements.instead of flying halfway to antarctica if it plunges in the gay of bengal or giving firework display on diwali chritmas then DRDO will truly have an egg on its face which it gets every time it make big mouth statement.

anything else sir ??? :pop:

and don't worry it is purely china specific not pakistan specific, it would be an over kill for you. so just chill and pray that its successful :)

This is how the Agni-V will fly. I have taken a distance of 5009 KMs and have plonked it between Africa and Australia.

Why do they have to announce such things and cause half the Pacific to lose its sleep for no reasons? Can't they just do it in secret and once completed, announce?

Personally, I don't see what's the point of bombing Antarctica to smithereens. It will only raise sea levels by crazy levels and drown Maldives, Mauritius, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. That won't be too good, would it? :P

I think one has to inform the World before conducting a test like this on the International waters.

Dnt worry this missile is not for you

I think their is another missile test in December Agni2P

i was not worried- this missile is not for us as MKI's now stationed near our border were for china- yeah i believe you-

the missile is not for you,why fire it on pak when other samll nuke missiles can do lol

how much destruction will a 1-ton conventional warhead cause?
how much destruction will a 1-ton nuke warhead cause?
A nuke with a nominal yield (20KT or 20 kilotons ) will be equal to 20,000 tons of TNT or 20,000 times more destructive than a conventional one-ton TNT explosive. Now think what a 50 MT (megaton) mother can do! This one was called the "Tsar Bomba" by the Soviet Union - the biggest nuke ever tested - equivalent to 50 million tons of TNT!!
