After Nokia, BlackBerry, HTC Staring at Bleak Future

Highly possible, Wang Xuehong is very pro-mainland. And I don't think it's the best strategies to lower prices to cater to low paid Indians, which will totally ruin its reputation.

Qiku was last month rumoured to pounce on HTC。

If HTC doesn't find a way to stop the bleeding soon,it will end up either going bust or in bed with a Mainlander。

We shall see。

I don't see any Chinese company taking over HTC. The reasons are many. I would not like to go indept there. As on India, India is the third largest smart phone market and fastest one at that. Indian market is extremely heterogeneous. You will find buyers of Bugatti Verons and Harleys in India, and also has 30% of population living under extreme poverty. India is land of huge contrasts.

Very much likely, Wang Xuehong's family is totally pro-mainland.

If u can read Chinese news in Taiwan, u will know there are a lot of rumours of HTC, like merging with mainland.

There will always be rumors when companies are going through difficult phases. Blackberry is yet to find a buyer and I don't see HTC finding one. In fact I don't see what Chinese companies will find attractive in HTC.

He is one of India's beloved ex -president. He recently died, hence people are using him as their avatar.

The question is, is HTC attractive to their counterparts in mainland?

It is hard to see what Chinese companies or for that matter any company look while acquiring another company. But you can guess from its financial statements especially the Balance Sheet. If there is more cash that the market cap, the company is worth nothing.

I watch Taiwanese channels everyday, the problem is not just about HTC, but about the whole manufacturing chain in Taiwan. They are losing shares in Apple's supply chain to Mainland/SK/Japan, especially to their counterparts in mainland. China is striving to move up in the supply chain, when one gains something, the other one loses something.
