Most of my friends and family voted for IK. I did not. I didn't vote for anybody. I saw him as just another Altaf Hussein. Trying to use people's emotions for political victories. I expected him to fumble around when actually called upon to govern. And eventually turned his workers into thugs.
But I have been very pleasantly surprised!
There is absolutely no one in our country's political horizon who could've handled this situation better than he did. Let's face it, we had very little standing in the global community, and most of the world looks down upon us. Despite all this -- him, Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Asif Ghafoor went on an all-out diplomatic offensive and decisively defeated India on the world stage. Every move from our administration and armed forces was near-perfect! There were clearly intense back-channel negotiations happening that lead to the end of all this madness.
As of now:
- The world praises us for continuously calling for peace despite our successful military response.
- The world sees that we saved and treated the Indian commander with utmost respect - on video nonetheless.
- The world sees that we released him as a humanitarian gesture.
- The world noticed that India has yet failed to provide evidence of its strike's credibility.
- We have demonstrated that our armed forces are capable of repelling India decisively.
- Our administration has repeatedly and timely addressed the nation and the world.
- India is still war mongering even after all our peace gestures.
- Modi has not yet addressed the nation.
- Modi's defense minister is MIA.
- Modi's only address is to his own workers via a video conference.
- India's opposition parties are eager to tear him to pieces.
Despite our weaknesses, we have won this war without question. Imran Khan, to me, is the first Pakistani leader I admire after our dear founding father. And my admiration of our armed forces remains firm.
