Perhaps metro orientation will become fashionable too.

based upon good governance.

Please don't confuse infrastructure development with governance.

They are poles apart.

ANd kindly keep PTI vs PML discussions out of this thread.

Only discuss the Pindi metro and it's pros and cons..not other stuff.

Make another thread for that agr itna hi masla hai kisi ko to.

If authorities have to upgrade Rawalpindi-Islamabad Mass Transit to train after a mere year into its operation then that reflects lack of planning on govt's. part. They should have anticipated the estimated number of commuters and how that number will rise with time when the project was in its conceptual phase. If they had done their calculations, and done them right they would have known a bus system would soon be rendered incapable of catering to the needs of all and train-based metro system would have to be introduced as replacement.

I'm sure the buses from Isb-Rawalpindi Metro can be utilized for metro projects being materialized elsewhere across the country and hence won't go to waste. It does not, however, absolve govt. of the short-sighted approach they have exemplified as far as infrastructure projects are concerned.

Both are linked.

Infrastructure is a "very" small but highly visible part of the whole principle of governance.

And in infrastructure development, transportation, energy infrastructure and social infrastructure take their places as well.

In Pakistan, it's mostly transportation, followed by energy, with social at the very last.

So it's like: Governance => Infrastructure => Transport in Pakistan...

So linked they may be, but building roads and bridges all the time does not mean 'good governance'.

I can agree with that.

Few points...

1- Fun to see "professionals" disagreeing with the government acts even though they are paid by the same government...

2- Have come to notice the PTI baloon has been deflated and no more or less PTI trolls...

3- @cb4 and @Muhammad Omar are doing a fantastic job of keeping us "noonis" updated on the evil doings of our provincial government...

4- God Speed PMLN!!!

.
Now this is what you call real heavy stuff ..hats off prime minister Sharif :tup:
To all the haters towards such projects indicates meaning we're on the rite track :pakistan::pakistan:

To our creative Pti trolls..Don't call the alligator, big mouth until you have crossed the river..:nono:
