The UN, founded and hosted on USA soil, is an ineffective and banal institution. The USA wastes far, far too much emotional and financial resource on the UN. It would be best for the USA to not be bothered with the UN in any way. The USA should ignore the UN and conduct it's foreign affairs by bilateral agreements and specific purpose, multi-lateral associations of like minded nations.

Totally not true. If anything, the UN gives Russia, Britain, France and China far more power in world affairs than they could garner in any other way. The reality is that the veto power of the five "permanent" UN Security Council members makes the UN a colossal waste of time for any nation that wants to improve the lives of its own citizens or of its friends. If the USA abandoned the UN, the UN would go the way of the League of Nations. As it should.

I think the time for UNO is almost over. It will meet the same destiny as its predecessor organisation called The League of Nations (devils) . USA should not waste its resources on it anymore.

The "USA" was not involved in the UN vote abstinence. Barrack Hussein Obama, alone of all USA authorities, abstained. From January 21, 2017 through January 20, 2021, Israel will be protected from the UN by the USA. My wish and recommendation that the USA ignore the UN does not mean we won't show up for Security Council resolution votes to veto the inevitable craziness that will continue to be a specialty of many nations that seek to use the UN for their own purposes.
